It was a home from home, which is great after staying in hotels. The facilities were excellent and the location was great, just five minutes from Puerto del Sol. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You would need to speak some Spanish though, but the guy spoke very slowly and was very patient with us. What an excellent place. From the warm welcome from Juan to the greatcentral location to the extremely well equipped studio. The kitchen areahad everything, there was a small bath with shower and free internetaccess. Wonderful.

Friendly welcome. Central location. Nearness to Metro and restaurants. Manager "Juan" very friendly and helpful (complimentary bottle of good wine at the end!). Nice kitchenette with all dishes and silverware, stove, refrigerator, microwave and washer! Nice dining room table with 4 chairs + "easy" chair. (Easy to cook and eat in, which we did). Free Internet via ethernet cable in room for our laptop, or computer in stairwell. Good location in center of Madrid and near metro.It was a great suprise to find the Apartments were as nice they it look on the website; no trick photography or false advertising. Juan is a very good host who thinks of everything and clearly has a passion for hospitality. Modern, Fresh, Clean, Warm and Convenient. It is very central. The staff were very friendly and cheerful and helpful.Although our host did not speak English, we were able to communicate very effectively. He was always helpful and friendly. We liked the facilities, including the free access to the Internet. We were right in the heart of the city and had great access to everything. The street and the apartment was quiet and safe. Location is close to Gran Via, shopping areas, theater, restaurants, very central. Apartment was comfortable. Street noise outside noticeable on Saturday night, less so on Monday and Tuesday night. Bed seemed slightly small for my 6-foot, 2-inch frame but we slept fine. The only problem was that I was alone and would have preferred a larger bed - the bedroom had two small single beds. That was the only problem.The beds were a bit uncomfortable and shorter than we have been used to but it was a small inconvenience compared to the the rest of the facility. No soap.No cleaning during a one-week stay. Towels exchanged only once.
