We stayed one night in room 226 above the garden dining area. The room is very romantic and quiet once the hotel staff stopped work in the evening. The best part was the fact that this hotel & the Paramor next door are the only hotels within the walls of the Alhambra... Quite unique! After spending more than double $ for a room next door at the Paramor, I think this room was a terrific value! Just go next door to eat & drink as there is nowhere else to go when the sun finally does go do.

I could be at the Nazarín Palaces in less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, willing to accomodate my needs. Beautiful building, a wonderful terrace as a summer restaurant, very pleasant even at the peak heat of the day. The location on the grounds of the Alhambra in Granada was a real plus for convenience to access the Alhambra, and only a five minute walk to the old city center. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We ate a couple of meals there and the food was delicious!! The courtyard was a nice place to relax and enjoy wine and tapas!!. I loved Hotel America! The Hotel was charming, clean and had a friendly staff. The location is about 15 minutes walk to town but I loved being there a night and the early morning in the quiet when the other tourists left and you could hear the water running throughout Alhambra and the birds. Wonderful!. The location was great and the staff were accommodating and the room was quite comfortable and clean. the courtyard dining area is attractive and comfortable for a drink. the staff work hard but the hotel is a bit dated. Its unique location inside the Alhambra makes it the perfect location for an in-depth visit of such a unique site. Staff are super helpful even managed to get us tickets for a visit to Nasrid Palaces. Actually, the hotel is on the grounds of The Alhambra, not a castle, so much more. The hotel is located very near the monuments of Granada, which is fine for tourism, but for dinner you have to go downtown in the full sense of the word: you go down the mountain, and have to come up again to your lodging, or give the job to a taxi. It's being close to the Alhambra., it's boutique size, home-like feeling, the patio, helpful and smiling personnel. Location in the Alhambra. Friendly, helpful staff. Charming, typically Spanish. The only minus is not to have a little refrigerator in the room, so we could have cold beverages and some other fridge items for snacking before/ after restaurant hours. You should be aware that you"ll park 10 minutes walk awayfrom the hotel (15 uphill), but for me this was not a problem. there were no options for someone with coeilac issues which there should be for the cost, as there are in many other hotels now. Generally the food was average, we have had much better for less cost elsewhere. The hotel is small and in high demand during the day for coffee and lunch etc. So need to be patient but it is worth it!. Loved it all. Limited evening meal option. The hotel is on 3 floors and the wooden,uncarpeted stairway is noisy.Other guests can be heard clumping up to bed. Simple to fix....!. The quality of food and meals, the poor value of breakfasts. The limit quality of room 215 and the noise of people moving from their rooms or to the rooms. Carrying suitcases up and down stairs. Our room was small, anywhere else it would be overpriced but you pay for the location and it is wonderful being within the Alhambra complex. The breakfast selection. Ordered a croissant, omelett and fresh squeezed juice for the breakfast. The quality was poor, except the juice, especially to the price of 18 €!. too many tourists !!!! (except us, ofc). Leaving. No internet available that I know of. Wish someone had explained the dinner option for guests. I think it was $15 eu for a complete dinner but I am not sure of that. No elevator and steps were steep. there is nothing I disliked. The room was overheated, and I had to use a screwdriver to turn off the radiator. No evening meals served in the restaurant. The air conditioner in one of the rooms shut off during the night, making the room a bit stuffy. Our late night arrival was complicated by the night desk clerk not speaking anything but Spanish (but we worked ti out eventually and he was very nice). No information about dinner etc and not able to get coffee at night. Ended up having to go out of the hotel to get an evening meal. No tv. I wish they had a better system of purchasing Alhambra tickets on line with the hotel. I did not feel comfortable giving my credit card in an email to them. Unfortunately we did not get the entire tour of the Alhambra because they were sold out. none. Nothing. Location. The shower in my bathroom was little more than a recess in a wall. Room exceedingly small, although the bed itself was large enough. I was given for breakfast some salami and sandwich cheese, an unedible industrial croissant, and one too large loaf of a very commonplace bread, at an unacceptably high price, so that for my second day breakfast I preferred to buy a couple of sandwiches and a cup of coffee from the coin machine in front of the palace of Charles V. Breakfast was average. Plumbing needs a lift. Shower door needs to be fixed. Parking is a horror as 10-15 minute walk from hotel ....very difficult except for the young. We had to taxis backward and forward to the hotel. Clients should be warned of this. No dining room open at night ...forced to eat at the expensive (but very good) parador next door. Room was very basic and gloomy. Meals were expensive. Location, whilst good for the Alhambra, was a real hike to get anywhere else - not good for anyone with mobility difficulties. The hotel restaurant didn't open for evening meals, leaving no option but to get a taxi to the city centre (too far and steep to walk).
