I absolutely liked this guesthouse. The location is excellent and safe, and it is very easy to access hot spots by walking or subway. It locates between El Born and Barceloneta. The guesthouse locates in the second floor of an histrorical building and has 11 rooms. It feels like staying as a guest in an apartment, which I like. Rooms are clean and decorated in minimalist style. Although I stayed in a single room with interior windows, the room met with my needs. I suppose double rooms with balc.
all reviews » The staff were very nice and understanding. They kept my reservation even though my credit card had failed and there wasn't any chance to call my bank as I was in transit from Rome. This was the best place we stayed in our 2 week holiday in Barcelona, Paris and Rome. My family loved the place and wish we had discovered it earlier. Exceptionally clean and neat with modern decor. Loved the pictures at the reception. The people where very friendly. The room was very clean, bed was good, desing was good and the location was perfect! Price/quality good. Tip: There is a little shop (sandwichbar/snack) in the street, just a couple of doors away/ They sell nice sandwiches, snacks and tapas. We had there brackfast each morning with a glass of Cava. They don't speak very good english and it is very bussy with local people. Newly renovated rooms. Clean and comfortable. Location was within a minute to restaurants anda few minutes from beach. Hard to find a better location. Fast wifi. Rooms have everything you need. A famous tapa bar is on the same street. City buses pass within 20 meters. Good location. 10 -15 min walk to las ramblas. But the area near the hotel is also nice to hang out. I think i preferred to hang out in this area. Hotel is clean, nice, quite when I went (december). Would book this place again if i was going to barcelona. The room was perfect for the 4 of us, lovely modern bathroom and I especially loved the view from our balcony. We especially liked the location and it's walking distance from all main attractions and 2 min walk from the bus stop and closest train station. Very clean, value for money, fast reliable wifi and the staff were all very friendly. Location was great, right near the mariners and beach. But my rooms was at the end of the hallway, and I did not get effected it much. The outside face of the building doesn't betray the beautiful gem that Som Nit Born is. We struggled to get our luggage to the 2nd floor as there's no lift. The place doesnt serve breakfast which I bet would be great given how nice the place is. The facilities are those from hostal (except you have your own room and bathroom) and this is not mentioned. The hostal is really noisy. You can here everiuthing (also from the room next door) and if you are at the reception, you can hear the other rooms. When you arrive you will think where are you, beacuse it looks a bit strange at the outside. It is in a bulding with other apartments and you have to carry your suitcases 5 stairs up. This is a small hostel in 2nd floor of a building. At first walking into an old building with old staircase is weird. Also room 1 and 2 are just next to entrance and reception and you hear a lot of noise where earplugs might be necessary. It is a very safe place but at first being next to a 2nd floor door with no post midnight receptionist might make some feel different. Our room smelled like smoke. Which i didn't like. But didn't bother me that much. Maybe their other rooms are non smoking. Signage on the door, I assume they will be updating it shortly but it was an A4 bit of paper and we weren't sure if we were in the right place. Basic. Many rooms are situated around the reception desk and the doors are very thin. For this reason it is hard to sleep in, since each morning you hear people talking and calling on the phone. Isolation would have made our stay even better. The windows are well isolated though, so we didn't hear any noise fr. Spend a lot of time searching hotel location - door without sign, just small piece of paper with hotel name. Bath door without lock although we have room for 4 person. External view did not reflect the nice interior. Bars on the doors were a put off and the stairwell was dim and dingy. The stairs were too many for my old mom, the fact that was not mentioned in the Booking.
