The hotel is located right in the middle of the biggest shopping street and easy to walk everywhere and 1 minute from the metro; old historical building, but nicely renovated; very comfortable beds and pillows; nice shower; many breakfast places nearby the hotel for eur 3-7 as opposed to the much more expensive hotel breakfast; there were many taxies in front of the hotel even at 5.30 am to get us to the airport; free wi fi.

When I booked the room I mentionned it was for a surprise birthday for my fiancé, and when we arrived in the room there was a big heart with happy birthday drawn on the mirror. Very sweet. 1. Location is great. 1 minute to metro station, 2 minutes - famous Gaudi buildings, 7-10 minutes - Rambla and Gothic quarter. 2. Staff is very friendly and heplful. Speak Spanish, English, Catalan. 3. No noise at all although it is a central street. I got the bigger room they had. It was just amazing. For a honeymoon or for any kind of romantic travel. Despite being at passeig de gracia avenue, it is quiet and discreet. I would for sure stay there again. The location is phenomenal. The staff was very friendly with us, the hotel was modern nice, with very nice design. The room even that was a small was vey confort and very relaxing. The bed was also very relaxing. Nespresso coffee in the room costs eur1.6, But you can buy across the street; we didn't have a room with the view and thus it was quite dark inside;. You have to not pay attention too much to the details. All furnitures look nice and when you look closer there are not that good (bathroom shelves, bidet, store). You can't open the window when the store is down, the only way is to lie down the floor and try to crab the window handle. The bidet was leaking crazy when used. I am not usually paying attention to that kind of stuff but when you pay the price you expect better. This hotel is a bit too expensive, but in my personal opinion is very good. This price could include the breakfast, that is too expensive. You have to pay for Coffee and Water in your room. Having to leave... 1... There were no robes in the room. 2... Apple Macs and Nespresso machines are great but I don't understand why a hotel of this standard can't provide a half decent hairdryer with a nozzle! I saw one for €15 in Carrefour!. Hotel was very small with no main lobby area. The lighting system was very modern. You could not shut off only a part of the lighting, which is very silly. There was a Nespresso machine, but each pod cost 1 euro 60. There is a Nespresso store across the street and the pods cost 36 cents there. Lighting in room and bath could have been brighter. Found shower wand difficult to use for actual showering. Bed was somewhat "soft"...prefer firm bedding. - Internet didn't work on 4th floor, but staff agreed to switch us to a room on a different floor - Outrageously expensive breakfast, get it somewhere else (plenty of choices right outside the hotel). it took some time to understand the lighting system!. Nothing. Perfect hotel. Nothing. The shower. The bathroom is beautiful, but the shower kept oscillating between hot and cold water! It was really annoying to get "home" after a whole day in the streets and not take a relaxing shower. I asked them to fix it, but they said they couldn't do it. Walls are too thin. Possible to hear very clearly from other rooms. Needs to be soundproofed. In of the two rooms i booked Water pressure was weak in the shower, bathroom in general need some maintenance. No free tea or coffee in the room. I think the choice of the buffet was limited. Pricey - the breakfast (not included) is expensive. price for breakfast rather expensive room rather warm and temperature controls hard to find. Lift was broken on arrival so had to use service lift for 1 day. Big windows offer a lot of light, but its not possible to dim it & keep windows open for fresh air at the same time. Not enough space in the room furnitures to keep the clothes in. More attention to house keeping, wi-fi not reachable in all parts of the hotel room (!). Windows in the rooms should be able to open at least partially. nothing bad. The surrounds of the bed jutted out and were the same colour as the carpet so we knocked our ankles and tripped over them. We put coloured scarves on them to stop this happening. claim of a bose stereo, not available. a bigger/better fridge. Expensive breakfast. windows do not open, impossible to have fresh air, control panel complicated. Not enough space to put the clothes. The drains and the lights were not working well. the lighting system is imaginative but only the intensity seems variable ; there are 2 zones and no other choices.. The small reading light is linked in to the others .. My husband was pick-pocketed in the tourist information centre! :(.
