New nice looking hotel, good breakfast, excellent rooms. Minimal, but very very nice design. "Less is more!" Good transport connection, near to the sea, and from everyting. Just some steps from Rambla de Poblenou, which is a nice street with lots of restaurants, and shops. The welcome from the staff, the sorting out of initial room problems, the breakfasts were good for all in the family and the overall ease of using the hotel.

Well, something to do on the premises would be appreciated, especially as one of our group was ill for part of the stay and we could not go anywhere during this time.it's a little away from the center (4-5 metro stops) but the metro was 2 minutes walk so it was OK. the neighborhood is not very pleasant but safe. the reception was on the first floor it was a bit awkward. - the surroundings. We didn´t like the area very much, there is a lot of construction at this time.Hardly any wardrobe/drawer space especially for a family of 4. Location of surroundings safe but not very pleasant. not in a very good area but will be when the rebuilding has been completed in the area. Slightly out of the way and strong smell from the drains outside hotel. There was no evening meals served/No restaurant. surroundings. The neighbourhood around the hotel is a bit run down, but notunreasonably it seemed to be in transition.There are areas outside the hotel that are dirty and often smell like urine and/or sewage. We were told that although there were areas that seemed "dicey", it was very safe to be there at night and it felt safe enough for us. Get possibility to open windows.They don't have any on-site facilities, such as a work out room or a swimming pool for bad weather days. - The bed could have been more comfertable. Possibly could have more storage in the rooms. We got off at the wrong metro station, the area was not to good, but the hotel is in a much nicer part which is being massively rebuilt at the moment. Unfortunately we had problems finding it as it only has a tiny sign saying Holiday Inn and it is fairly invisible when coming from one direction (it does say hotel on the outside but not brand name).I need the breakfast to be started earlier, like 6:00a.m. Breakfast not so great. Location not the best part of town. It's a short walk to the metro (easy) and if you're looking for nearby food walk exactly the opposite direction from the metro stop. Be careful exiting the parking garage, there's a button at the base of the ramp to open the door at the top of the ramp. You cannot negotiate this ramp in reverse.Was a little bit far from the centre. Lack of an in room fridge.A little far from the city and in a very unattractive neighbourhood. Location. A little too far away from Airport.
