Excellent Facilities in the apartment and very comfy, Air Con was brilliant and so was the Wi Fi service, staff were very helpful. Very well equipped apartment with washing machine, ironing board and iron and large fridge and dishwasher (Just a tip, take some dishwasher tablets with you as they are expensive to but and come in large packs). Walk to the centre near La Rambla was about 15 minutes or 5 minutes on the Metro service, the station is almost next door to the apartment so very handy. Pl.
all reviews » When we checked in, after a 7 day cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruises, we met with Sandra Tena a few streets down from the actual apartment. She was very nice and helpful and gave advise where ever she could regarding shopping, dining, etc. We have done many trips to bcn and the location in Eixample is great with many shops and restaurants. If you like pizza, go where the locals go, there is a pizza place on the same street of c/ Villaroel 101, called La Bella Napoli. In overall, our stay in th. We loved the position of the apartment and its stylish interior and would definitely stay here again. It was roomy, very well located and well equipped. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of wardrobe space. Having two bathrooms was excellent. There are plenty of local shops selling fresh produce within a 2 minute walk. It's close to a Metro station for easy access to the attractions although we found it a pleasant stroll to walk to them. Walk to the top of Villaroel and Diagonal has some . Very spacious and clean. Good qualify fixtures and fittings. It has the best beds in any holiday accomodation I stayed at - ie firm and comfortable. Each day the bins were emptied, rooms cleaned and beds made.Facilities are very good. Very spacious apartment, equipped with everything one might need. Really helpful staff in the offices who provided us with maps and directions that we may need. Apartment cleaned everyday. Would recommend to anyone!. It is a comfortable apartment with full kitchen. Overall very good, but if being picky:- The checking in at another hotel a few blocks away was a bit of a pain as had to walk 5-10 minutes with loads of suit cases, be better if you could just get dropped of in a taxi and check in at the location. We had noisy neighbours for two nights ( a group of young lads), but they soon went quiet after the Mrs had told them off !!!. We heard slamming of doors sometimes, which we think could be avoided if there was some kind of a padding inbetween the doors of all apartments. Other than that, hey, you are in a great location, close to all amenities and in the middle of it all ;-). The wi-fi didn't work. The bins were emptied each day but although it said the beds would be made each day they weren't. wifi don't work unless stand next to front door. It suppose to rain only for a few days in the whole year in Barcelona and happen to rain when we arrived and the sun came out on the day of departure !!. The rain did cause very bad smell coming into one of the toilets. The office is not on-site, and a bit distance to the apartment. For foreign travellers without cell phones, it is a bit hard to connect to the office in case of urgency. The TV had no news channels in english. No sponge or rags was left to mop up in the kitchen after use. the apartments really need to be cleaned well. the walls are dirty in some places, in shower cabin water did not flow away. also uncomfortable that keys we needed to take in other place, about 7 - 10 minutes walk. Wifi never worked, only standing at the front door or at the lobby. Picking up the key 10 minutes away. It was advertised for 4-6 people, but it is has accomodations for 4 only. Fortunately our 5th friend could not join, since we would have been somewhat uncomfortable as the couch is not a convertible. A little further from the city centre than I would have liked. We had to walk quite far just to get to the check in point and then walked again to the apartment. The wireless was quite poor. Having to leave. no table on the terrace. arrival and reception process was complicated and this should be further clarified i.e. distances, map etc. the wifi connection is so weak!!. It was a city location which was good and we were close to a metro. View from the apartment window not attractive. Instructions on how to check in came late. Bathroom drains not working properly. Inconvenience of obtaining key at different location. Dirty floors. Broken furniture, unable to use, emailed and they advised will fix next day. (we were leaving). Requested van cab for airport-did not assist or respond. Staff. We arrived at 22.00 but they said that they overbooked and they couldn't help us. The staff on reception (hotel Balmes) was unfriendly and didn't help. We contacted to letsbookhotel.com and they found alternative. Next day they checked-in us at 2pm. WiFi didn't work absolutely. The staff didn't help us.
