- Wonderful welcoming staff - Beautiful old building, right in the centre of historic Stellenbosch, lots of things walking distance - Excellent breakfasts and the most fantastic hostess who made us feel like honoured guests - Gorgeous bathrooms. Everything - from the moment we arrived the friendliness of the staff to Wonder nicknamed Stevie who parked our car and took care of our overnight bags. The pool area was great and the service excellent. Cannot wait to return next year.
all reviews » Really friendly, helpful staff. Located in a tucked away street in the centre of the University town of Stellenbosch. The area is full of great value excellent eating places. Very convenient for touring the wine district. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are quiet , bed and linen top class, breakfast is perfect and the restaurant serves great food. Location is in the heart of old Stellenbosch. Breakfast was good and so was the location of the hotel. With many nice restaurants next door. Large bathroom with a perfect shower and floor heating. its simply amazing, such hospitality from the moment that you arrive till you depart. Food served, delicious, rooms cosy , home from home. This hotel had excellent facilities and was in a fantastic location. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Definitely recommend. It was a really home from home experience. Friendly, helpful staff. I can highly recommend the restaurant for a delicious meal. From being received at the front door to departing - everything was a fantastic experience. The staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is also great so don't skip it :). The staff is wonderful - great customer service! Most incredible breakfast too :). We loved the beds, extreme comfort and luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen. Had a wonderful 2 night stay, staff were great and location fantastic. Very good to be back here!. good internet good location. - Planning time to have car fetched (though valet parking was very nice, just unexpected!). Nothing. The double room was small but is a very old building which in a previous life was a female student hostel. Nothing. Nothing. They call their cheaper rooms 'petit'. And that's what they are. Especially because of the many furniture that they put in. that i had to leave :(. The room was a teeny bit on the small side but probably only because the bed was so lovely and big :). Very limited TV channels to choose from. Restuarant staff needs jacking up. Did not have ice tea and wanted to offer me sprite. I said as a 5 star hotel, this is not good enough. He then got some from next door! He shld have done that in the 1st instance! Bath + bathroom floor were not washed !. None. We were in room 12 a beautiful room. However there was noise from the next door restaurant kitchen. Car parking was separate from hotel, but staff made that easy. Loud music one afternoon/evening from a nearby student dive. Parking. small room bed too soft breakfast service and food only fair e.g. stale bread, wrong items ordered over priced for value.
