We had the most wonderfull appartement we ever had in South Africa. We were staying in number 32? It was Zabia her appartement really beautifull... If we are back next year, we'll definitly be there again!! Thanks for the wonderfull stay! The Hippo's in the backyard, the monkeys, and the wonderfull surroundings... We. A very nice and exciting place with both the civilization and wildlife so close. A lot to do around! It's on the edge of the village but the place is so small that everything is really near. And it's a short drive to the beach.
all reviews » The resort is well kept and one was able to relax. It is in walking distance of all amenities. The locals are helpful and friendly. The natural beauty of the area and the feeling of getting back to nature are the attractions. The size of the apartment was good, it was clean, looked after daily which was a pleasant surprise, it was near the swimming pool, and local for the amenities of St.Lucia. we stayed in unit no 6 which was fantastic, firstly the view, decor of unit and spaciousness was awsome. We will definatly be back. The apartment we rented (number 32) was well appointed and comfortable, cleaned daily and convenient for all activities. The convenience and cleanliness of the apartment. Also the furnishings of the apartment. Excellent place to relax. Everything is around you for your needs even the wildlife. Modern well apointed apartment, very clean. Lots of space. Very nice and clean. No delays or problems of any sort. The location was very good, close to eat outs, shopping and a 3 min drive to beach. Cape Vidal is a 45 min exciting and an adventourios drive. The nature in and around the hotel is stunning. Watch out for the hippos, crocodiles and the monkeys. Location,bar b que areas ,hippos in the garden and the accommodation. The apartment: big, modern, comfortable. The mustiness in the wardrobe in the main bedroom. When we arrived hadn't a clue where to go, I went to the "Bridge Office" which was wrong but they were helpful and rang through for us and told us which number the apartment was and directions.The smell when we entered which was to do with the unused freezer and the dirty microwave. The kitchen had lots of implements in the cupboards but they were so unused that the cupboards had an old smell. on the weekend (Friday night) other groups had booked in. A group of single males who were rather loud so maybe a little vetting needed on the type of visitors.. The ablution facilities should be closed off/a door to separate from main bedroom. Time to leave. The bathroom door was off its hindges. Renovation was in progress along the stairways. Hotel was fine, not great, but will suit a family as it comes with a full kitchen and BBQ facilties outside. Not enough sun loungers by the pool. The organization: nobody in reception, wrong parking numbers. 1. arrived at the resort apartment was in poor condition, not cleaned, old food in fridge, brown liquid dripping in the freezer, beddings not changed, apartment infested with cockroachs and bad odour in the apartment.

Directions from Johannesburg: - Take the N12 road to Witbank, turn off to Ogies. - Then go through Bethal, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola. - Continue south along N2, past Mkuze and Hluhluwe. - Take turn-off left to Mtubatuba and St. Lucia. - As you arrive in Mtubatuba, turn left to St. Lucia (25 kms) on the R618. Directions from Durban: - Take N2 north - you have the option of the toll road or the alternate route via Stanger. - 40kms after the turn-off to Richards Bay, turn right to Mtubatuba. - As you arrive in Mtubatuba, turn left then right to St. Lucia (25 kms) on the R618. - The Bridge Holiday Resort is the first resort to the right of the main street.
