The greeting was very warm and friendly. The staff were supportive and informative. The property is being upgraded by the owners since they took over 18 months ago. All the improvements are of a good quality. The hotel is situated in the centre of Knysna so we needed to take a taxi to and from the beautiful water front, however it was worth it. Location is perfect, breakfast is fantastic, owners are personally involved and extremely friendly. When they bake muffins the glorious smell is everywhere - like granny's house!.

From George/Cape Town: - Drive over the Bridge, along the edge of the Knysna Lagoon, passing 2 sets of traffic lights. - Enter Knysna via Main Road, driving over one set of traffic lights. - Drive past Fletcher, Short, and Hospital Hill road. - Look out for PostNet, directly thereafter turn left into Pledge Square. - Drive through to the back of the square into the parking area in front of the Wayside Inn.
