The room we had was a bit hot, so they moved us into the next available room the next day, without us even asking for a change. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. It was very quite given that we were in Johannesburg. Worth way more than what we paid!!. Now here's a home away from home. I will absolutely recommend it. Great value for money. Very friendly and accommodating staff and most of all I love the space in the rooms and around the establishment.

The booking confirmation I received was for different accommodation to what I got. I didn't mind, but raised it as a concern upon checking out. Vvl advised they don't even have the type I showed them had been confirmed on my booking - 2 bedroom suite, with separate sitting & dining areas. Having to wake up to switch off the lights. We spent some time at the gate. Called the reception 2 times and there was no answers Finaly somebody pciked up the phone and that somebody was a guests. How disappointing? But we eventually manage to get it. Reception was a bit untidy Receptionist kinda unfriendly - no welcoming smile, maybe it was still early in the morning One of the wall paints (at the reception) a skew. Room 21 The bath was too narrow There were no windows or extractor fans in the bathroom/toilet There was no light above the mirror in the bathroom The "kitchen" area is poorly designed The breakfast staff are incompetent The breakfast experience was ghastly We were not issued with a driveway gate remote Room 19 The main bed mattress was hard There was only a mattress for the child to sleep on the floor Ditto for breakfast. No soap in 2 of our 3 rooms, one towel and one cup in room, no tea only coffee in room, only 3 tv channels working, no light in room 11 toilet, room 11 toilet door does not lock/close properly. Check in time took too long. Did not live up to expectations. Had been told room would have a desk and as I was on a business trip this was very important. There was no desk in the room! Place was quite noisy especially from staff going to/from the kitchen. The rooms next to the wooden stairs are VERY noisy!. what I did not like was that there is only one computer and a staff member was on it for a good few hours . when we asked her if she would be finished soon she was very nonchalant and just carried on as though we were not there. The advert was a bit misleading, there was no minibar and no balcony in the room we stayed in as was advertised on the website. When we asked if they had anything to drink the hostess told us that they dont have any stock. Unfortunately it wasnt a pleasant stay for me or my girlfriend and I will not visit Villa Vitoria lodge again and wont recommend it to anyone I know. It's aubstandard. Hair on my pillow. Dust in the room. Unfreindly staff. Parking bays too narrow so a car scraped against mine whilst reversing out of parking bay.
