The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and the gardens absolutely lush. The fact that the driveways have not been paved keeps everything natural! Just a good old fashioned hotel devoid the indifference one finds in chain hotels and pretentious B&Bs. As South Africa used to be before commercialism ruined everything. Peace and quite surroundings and location. Close to some good shops and restaurants and a tourism center. The dinner and breakfast served was of the highest quality (great taste and value). Very good service from all staff.
all reviews » From the time we came in, we were greeted friendly and felt welcome. The staff was more than ready to accommodate our requests, and the food was absolutely outsatnding. The reception very welcoming the lady knows her job very helpful she goes an extra mile. Check in and check out was perfect. The catering stuff wonderful. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff at the venue and the venue is centrally located so that you can access various activities. The food was great. I thought the accommodation was great value for money. We had a virtual 2 bedroom unit with use of a pool. The staff were very helpful. I liked the size of rooms, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, and reasonableness of prices. Comfortable, good restaurant, friendly staff. The garden cottage, food and friendly staff. Friendly staff. Fortunately we moved into the hotel or we would have not been able to stay there. no commence. Nothing much... Not anything to dislike really. Only for a 3-star a but pricey. Can understand that a single person is using a double room, surely hotels must realise that there are solo travellers especially motorcycle riders. A single room or 3 will be welcome at hotels. Often one ends up not travelling as paying for a double room is off-putting. Mpumalanga can only benefit from considering the latter as it is bikers' heaven. We would have liked something more in the room for example a bar fridge. The DSTV channels were not all working. Not enough toiletries at the room. None. Location on main road isn't the best in the area. We would advise the hotel management to extend the paving to the other areas not paved. The pictures on the Internet is misleading. The Garden Suites are not as spectacular as the room photo's on the net. The rooms are not luxurios at all. For R 500 pppn I have stayed in excellent luxurios modern guest houses. There are not even a small table to put the kettle and coffee mugs on. Not impressed at all. Shower in room 105 did not work properly. Cleaner put pyjamas in bedside- table and I couldn't find them - had to leave without them. Bed linen which was not clean.It must be changed everyday .Carpet also was not clean and must be vacuumed everyday.You must have insect control measures especially on ants in the rooms. The garden suite was disgusting and a big disappointment, no space, no view and noise from the highway. The way you put people under wrong information. The breakfast was average at best for the price. The hotel room next door was noisy - radio. The bathroom is old and outdated. I will not stay here again. Location right next to the main road. Run-down entrance & grounds. We started dreading our weekend stay from the moment we got there!. We were put in a garden suite right in the far corner which was against the perimeter wall with all the city noise, which also didn't get any sun. The couch was torn, the TV remote didn't work, the shower was mostly cold and only had a fine mist of water coming out of it, and the pool pump was right outside the window.

Travelling information

From Johannesburg/Pretoria: - Take N12 or N4 Highway respectively to Witbank and then follow N4 Highway through Belfast and Machadodorp. - After the Machado Plaza Toll follow the Schoemanskloof option on the N4 towards Nelspruit (lunch at Old Joe’s Kaia is recommended). - Turn left where you rejoin the main N4 at Montrose and continue to Nelspruit. - At Nelspruit, where you meet the R40, turn left and follow instructions from Nelspruit. From Nelspruit (45 mins) - Take R40 North to White River (passing straight through Rocky Drift). - In White River, at the first set of traffic lights in the town itself (with White River Toyota ahead of you), turn left, following signs to Hazyview and Wildtuin/Kruger National Park. - At the next traffic light, turn right - with the playing fields on your left and, further on, an open park with a pond on your right - and carry on alongside the CBD. - Cross over the next set of traffic lights and then at the final set, with a Caltex garage on your right, turn left on the R40 for Hazyview. (The R538, via the Numbi Gate, is a busy road and not recommended). - Continue on this road for about 45km, when you will come to a T-junction. - Turn left to Hazyview and travel a further 1.5km, where you will see the entrance to Hotel Numbi on your right. NB There are now two toll plazas on the N4, Middelburg (±R27) and Machadodorp (±R41). The scenic route avoids the second of these tolls. There is an additional toll between Pretoria and Witbank for those not using the N12 from Johannesburg.
