The staff were very welcoming, nothing was to much trouble for Sandra the manager, the staff pretty and mary jane were both exceptional workers. We can only praise the staff, they make the Guest House. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The manager (owner?) went out of her way to confirm our reservation when there was an issue with the credit card used to hold the reservation.

Enjoyed breakfast and the place is beautiful and tranquil. the house is spacious,bedding clean,room set up is good for business. This is a beautiful B&B in a great area close to the beach. Stunning and spacious room with friendly and attentive staff. The actually place needs some updating, but thanks to the staff it was very clean. need bit of touch up in room, and ants comes up when I left my biltong on desk ... might be need some pest control. could add more variety to an otherwise excellent breakfast. we were too pressed for time to relax and enjoy the place. Parking space not adequate. A bit of a walk to the town centre. Maybe a little far from shops etc. I booked a room with an extra-length king size bed. There was a mix up with the booking and ended up in a pokey little room on the bottom floor with no view. The room was dark and smelt of damp. the bed was a tiny double bed. Sandra tried her best to sort out the problem but they were fully-booked. Avoid Room 6 (Augusta) at all costs !. My wife was charged a double rate and she was alone. Breakfast was advertised to begin at 8.00 on weekends but there was no staff there at that time on Saturday. Awful place to sleep! The neighbor’s dog was barking all night!! And the house alarm was going on and off none stop the whole night! Honestly terrible place to stay if you just want to have a quiets night sleep after a long trip! Worst thing of all the manager of the house gave us her word! That the dark would stop barking after 6pm as I asked her about the dog at 3pm! And the alarm!.

Directions from Durban: - Follow the M4 North until you come to the Umhlanga Rocks off ramp (not Umhlanga/La Lucia Ridge, the next one). - Take this exit and turn right at the traffic light at the top into Lighthouse Road, over the M4. - At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Ridge Road, at the Buxtons centre, continue to the stop street and continue over the road, - Travel for approx 1 km and you fill find us at 118 on the left hand side. Directions from Johannesburg: - From the N3 approaching Durban take a left turn onto the N2 North. - Follow the N2 until you come to the Umhlanga Rocks/Mount Edgecombe exit no 41. - Take this off ramp and turn right at the traffic light at the top over the N2. - After the traffic light on the other side of the bridge take the SECOND exit onto Umhlanga Rocks Drive, go through the first circle (East Coast Radio House and MacDonalds on your left and then Umhlanga Hospital) and - At the second circle (just before the Sharks Board) turn right into Lighthouse Road and continue down the hill into Umhlanga. - Once you have crossed the M4 turn right into Ridge Road, at the Buxtons centre, continue to the stop street and continue over the road, - Travel for approx 1 km and you fill find us at 118 on the left hand side.
