Professionalism of the staff. exellent service by staff,. Staff hospitality.Location. Layout. Room. the room was spacious and beautiful. we have a 6 yr old daughter and we had privacy as she had her own room and tv. It is overall very professional. the friendly service. The honesty of the staff viz Thabi Sabela. My wife misplaced her handbag at reception only to have it retained with all it's contents. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the Gateway Theatre of Shopping and 1on1 events centre in the upmarket new town centre in Umhlanga. The beachfront is 2 km away, La Lucia shopping centre is 5 km away and the bird park is 14 km away. Ushaka Marine World and the Durban beachfront are both 17 km away.

Travelling information

A minibus shuttle from the airport and to local attractions can be organised upon request.

By Car:
From Durban international airport 39 km away:
- Take the N3 northbound towards the north coast and Stanger.
- Then take the Umhlanga/Phoenix/Mt Edgecombe exit.
- Turn right at the traffic lights and follow the signs for the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
- Take the Umhlanga Rocks Drive turnoff.
- At the top of the bridge turn left.
- At the second roundabout, turn left into Centenary Boulevard.
- Then turn left again into Palm Boulevard. The Royal Palm will be on the left-hand side.

From the North Coast:
- Take the N3 southbound towards the south coast and Port Shepstone.
- Then take the Umhlanga, Phoenix and Mt Edgecombe exit.
- Turn left at the traffic lights and follow the signs for the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
- Then follow the instructions above.

10 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.
90 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 30 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable.
