The trip was a birthday surprise for my girlfriend. Chalupkovo is a very sweet and romantic cottage village. What we liked the most was the natural atmosphere and the open fire place.The cottage was spacious, in excellent condition, had a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and bedroom. Chalupkovo is located just 3h30min by car from Vienna and in proximity of three major Slovak ski areas (Donovaly, Malino Brdo and Jasna (!)). All of these are reachable within 30mins by car from the cottag.
all reviews » We just came back from our little trip to Slovakia. we stayed for three night. the wooden cottage was perfect for us It was very good time to be there also the cottage was very clean and The owner Dusan have been warmly welcomed by the english speaking. The village located in a very good place. The cottage was spacious, in excellent condition, had a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and bedroom.The wooden village just make our vacations memorable for rest of our lifes. We stayed at Chalupkovo for few days and it was really wondrefull ! There is a beautiful nature all around, fresh and clean water. We liked the acomodation so much ! It was nicely, comfortable and old schooled-designed, perfectly for a romantic or family stay. You can also use a small jacuzzi or sauna. You can do there sports or touristics during both summer and winter. People there are nice and helpfull. I would definitelly recommend it to my family and friends!. An excellent, immaculate wooden cottage. Set in a small, quiet development. Great facilities. Easy to find. Lots of space inside and out. Dusan was very helpful with ideas of what to see and do locally. Lots of nearby attractions including a natural spring to walk to just up the hill, which our kids loved! and a handy restaurant just over the road. Highly recommended! This was a fantastic stay. The place is located in a serene area at the end of the village surrounded with the mountains so it is very easy 'to get away from it all'. The hosts are very friendly, hospitable, flexible and helpful and the house is not only very spacious but also immensely comfortable and very well equipped. We stayed at Chalupkovo for 3 days and it was great. There surrounding nature is beautiful and the acomodation is very comfortable. It is perfect for a family stay, with everything you need for a fun time together. The owner, Dusan is very nice and helpfull with recommendations to the surrounding. We had a nice house for four persons. Everything which needed for daily life was available. Although normal check-in is till 6pm, we were not charged as we arrived at 9pm. All rooms were quite clean. Every house is eqipped with a fireplace, indoor as well as outdoor. We had a pleasant stay at Chalúpkovo.Our wooden house was new and very beautiful. The interior is nice and decorated with unique pieces. The area is great for making walks and it's a good location for trips in the Tatra area. The cottage has equipped almost everything you need to stay over a weekend or more. It's located in a sort of cottage complex, or a rather small village. An optimal place to get away from the stress from everyday life. Very friendly staff, romantic house and quiet place. Lots of nearby attractions (all of them are max. 20 km ). If most of the activities you plan are at the Jasna area, than, it is somewhat a drive. If you plan also visiting other places at the Ruzomberok serounding, than it is great. There was no jacuzzi in the house as mentioned during the booking. Everything else was perfect. Just a note: If you have no car it will be quite difficult as the location is out of town. Couldn't find a hair dryer. Extra payment for pool usage Hot water supply insufficient at times. no complaints.
