Staff superb - very friendly and could not do enough for you. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Set in a historic part of Poprad just a short walk (15 minutes) from the town centre. Great centre for exploring this part of Slovakia. We had an excellent stay, and enjoyed the very good kitchen. Even with a party of 20 people having dinner a la carte and celebrating a jubileum we had a very good time. Highly qualified staff, in short, super!!.
all reviews » The hotel has excellent location in the histric heart of Spisska Sobota (Szepesszombat) with comfortable and spacious rooms and a cosy garden where we had a very good dinner for reasonable price. It was a nice decorated room in an old bilding in a very old and beautiful town.The room was big and clean and it had all we needed exept of a refrigarator althougt it was written that it has. Friendly staff, speaking also German. Located on beautiful place of a village formerly out of town. House and dining room with historic flair. Great people, delicious dinner at restaurant, well stocked wine cellar, picturesque location, nice old building, big room with two areas. Very nice decor, friendly staff. In very historic location Will stay again and warmly recommend. great space in the room moderate cost good restaurant excellent team assistance. Friendly staff, good breakfast, good restaurant, large rooms. NICE PLACE . Only slight negative was the food and drink which we found expensive compared to other establishments in the town. There is only bottled beer available so if you are looking to sample the local ale you need to move to another establishment. Not a single negative remark can be made. The steps to the 3 floor are uncomfortable. (No lift). When we book the room we make it clear that we were looking a room for three adults and that was the answer in the confirmation.When we arrived there they gave us a double bed room whith a small bed for a child.After our protest for this they arrange to give us an extra single bed room.In spite of that event we generally like the hotel and we could stay there again. Restaurant seems overpriced (small beer € 3.20, while €1.20 for a large would be considered normal). steep steps to the bedroom. no elevator. location was not ideal. Bathroom very basic, pillows too soft, no extra pillows available, dust clouds coming out under wooden ceiling. think the description on the website does not correspond to reality. Not all services are available.
