It looks like a standard tower block, but once inside, this hotel is a retro classic, a real period piece. Hope it doesn't get made over and lose its distinctive style. A value for money hotel that's ok the way it is. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent buffet breakfast with a wide choice. Handy position near to old city. Clean, good value. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I felt for the location (5 minutes from the old town Information Center). it was great. The beds were comfortable enough. The bath had plenty of hot water and water pressure, wish they had a shower curtain. The breakfast was excellent.There is something special about the Kyjec. The lobby still has shades of its former glory. The rooms, although basic, were clean and the beds very comfortable. The view from the 12th floor was spectacular. The breakfast was the best I've had in a long time. It was excellent value for money. Very central. Easy to get to. Lovely staff. I will definitely be back. Very slow lift. the hotel needs additional investments / refurbishment. A bit old place. It needs complete redecoration. A bit old but clean. Hotel interior and rooms were stereotypical "eastern block" and as such, very dated from a "western" european perspective. Lift took forever to get to the 12th floor. its too old and needs extensive renovation, elevators too were problematic.It would be nice if the free wifi was available throughout the hotel and not just in the bar/lobby area. The hotel belongs to the soviet-era and there is only 2 very slow lifts for this hotel on 15 floors (one even closed the door before I could enter); bathrooms could also beneficiate of refurbishment - This hotel is really good value for the money. The bathroom was not exactly as clean as I would have liked, but it was sufficient. The view from my window (and all the other windows on that side) was obscured by a huge advertising banner.Facilities could do with updating to say the least! I am aware this is a budget hotel and did not expect the ritz but simple things like a non-stained bath, cleaned grouting in the bathroom, non-stained pillows and a shower head holder would go a long way!. maybe not renovated in a long time..but overall very good quality / price rate.Rather run down rooms, but value for money.
