Nearly perfect. We felt very welcome. Excellent staff. location. In fact, the hotel is only a two stars one, with an upper part added aspenthouse where are located new rooms. Downstairs, the old rooms, withold fashioned furniture, no curtains in the bath, bad smell, and verydifferent from the one they sell for internet. We arrived withchildren, that is not a facility given for this page LetsBookHotel.com inorder to book it.

Hotel Grand Matej is an elegant hotel with pleasant atmosphere. It provides comfortable accommodation in spacious, luxurious rooms and suites, with full equipment. The hotel restaurant and cafe are elegantly furnished. In the restaurant both the local dishes and international cuisine is served. Currently, it is the largest restaurant in Banská Štiavnica. It offers room suitable for organizing weddings, company events and variable social events. Movable interior allows to arrange the seating as required by guests.

Important information to guests

Please note the the lift runs only till 3rd floor. 4th and 5th floors are only accessible by stairs. Please note that room rates on the 31 December 2016 include a gala dinner. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Ancient city, proud on matriculation to the act of UNESCO, is well-known by its mines, museums and galleries, beautiful nature, thermal springs and many artificial lakes (reservoirs) so called "taichs".
