We staid in Demeure de Cap Macon for 3 days in November 2013 and had a great time. It is a really nice place, very clean and very tastefully decorated. There is a great atmosphere and the owners, Jean-Louis and Anna are very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is at a really nice part of the island and there are stunning beaches just a short drive away. Also, after Jean-Louis recommendation, we visited some amazing restaurants. Car is essential (to my mind it is essential when you visit Mahe anywa.
all reviews » I loved the location- it was just what we wanted. Our suite over looked the forests and the beautiful indian ocean. It was amazing. Loved the staff- the owners were super friendly and nice. They would attend to all the guests individually and sit and chat with them. They also helped us arrange a rent a car in barely an hours time after we reached the destination. Loved the suite-it was clean and beautifully decorated. Loved the sitting lounge as it over looked the Indian ocean and with bamboo c. We spent a great week in Demeure de Cap Macon. The guesthouse in located in Anse Forbans district - just a couple of minutes by car from Anse Takamaka and Anse Intendance, two beautiful and quiet beaches, and about a half an hour / 45 minutes from Victoria . The owners are very friendly - we had a return flight on 11.45 P.M. and we could stay in the romm till the evening free of charge!!! The breakfast is really good (fresh fruits and tasty ommlettes) and few great places to eat a dinner are lo. If we had to use only one word to describe Demeure de Cap Maçon, it would be "Authentic". We loved the place, surrounded by beautiful trees. In the evening we were relaxing outside on our terrace. The suite had all the facilities required. The breakfast was served on the terrace of the main house. The view was taking your breathe away. In the evening we took the opportunity to join Jean-Louis and Marie-Anna who were cooking delicious meals. They assisted us a lot to book different activities th. The beautiful surroundings, fantastic views. Car recommended, as elsewhere, to move around and explore the island - the owners perfectly organize everything what you need. The hotel is ideally well-maintained, well-equipped, very clean. Fantastic family atmosphere. We travel a lot all over the world, because of our profession, and often stay in four and five stars hotels.But if someone would ask us, where we felt the best and the most comfortable? - the answer is definitive: in Demeure de Cap M. Probably the best place to stay in Mahe Island. Excellent accomodation, 100 m from the nearest beach (Anse Forbans) and with a great family that runs the business. Jean-Louis and MarryAnna helped us in getting everything we needed (infos, advice, etc), dealing with rent a car when needed. You'll need a car in Mahe for reaching the + 50 nice beaches. And the dinners done by MarryAnna were incredible. We felt from the beginning like being part of their family. If we'll ever go back to Mahe we'll . Everything. The hotel is in great place, very romantik and quiet. Well equipped, very clean. Amazing terrace with the sea view. Fantastic family atmosphere. Mary Anna and Jean Luis - the owner of the hotel, are absolutely lovely people to helping us with everything and making our holiday like a pleasant visit by the best friends. The "rooms" were more like cottages and they were absolutely fabulous. The gardens were natural. The owners made us feel like part of the family. Place is perfectly located next to a quiet beach and forests. The dinner was a great experience!. - Parking directly in front of accomodation - Cozy atmosphere. As if coming home or to see friends. Good dinners in the evening. nice sea view from breakfast terrace , nice hosts , tasty breakfast ( french style ) with plenty of fruits , nice cottage. All great. As with anything in life (and Mahe) I would like it to be a bit cheaper :). I think the path down the guest house to the road was too steep and it was a little difficult going up. there is really nothing. There was nothing negative. we missed wi-fi in the lower cottage and brighter night lamp near the bed ( my wife couldn't read a book ).
