The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The only negative was trying to find the hotel via GPS. TomTom took us down a street that turned out to be correct, but we didn't see the garage sign above the street. Look up and to your left when your GPS says you've arrived and see the blue sign and two blue doors. Taking your luggage from there is quite a hall, but the staff will happily carry for you. They've said they've updated with Google Maps and other.
all reviews » This was my second stay at the Majestic in 2 weeks. The room I was allocated (102) was extremely big with a large balcony, wonderful parquet flooring and a huge amount of storage space. As before, the service and personal attention I received from the front desk (especially Reception Manager Boza) was outstanding. On departure one of the reception staff even carried my bag to the waiting taxi some 3 minutes away from the hotel. While the hotel may be old-fashioned in style and appearance, the . The location is GREAT, it's the centre of the centre, you can always go to any touristic place and get to it in 5-10 minutes, moreover, the fortress Kalemegdan is in 10 minutes too, I loved it. The staff is very friendly and polite, you can ask anything you need. The TV was great, haha, I could stay watching it all day (but I didn't), there are more than 100 channels for any taste. I loved the breakfast too, there is a restaurant downstairs and you can go there anytime. The food is good and . The hotel staff, especially Front Office manager Boza, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Boza even accompanied me to a nearby ticket agency to help me buy a bus ticket to Sarajevo. Fault of Google Maps and TomTom for not updating. This is not a hotel for travellers wanting views. Only rooms at the front of the building overlooking the busy bar/café area of Obilicev venac have views, but this advantage is offset by the commensurate noise level. My room had no view, and there was a small window in the bathroom so I always thought of "The Shining" ahah. Moreover, the old wooden doors were opening by themselves. That's a bit spooky. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear a person next door watching TV or a child screaming. But I think that many hotels have this problem. The is definitely an old fashioned feel about the hotel which probably needs up-dating. It was clearly very glamourous when it opened in 1937 but it could definitely do with refurbishment. On the other hand, travelers seeking such a slightly faded fin de siecle atmosphere will probably like it. The shower was a hand-held nozzle with no attachment on the shower wall to fix it to, which for travelers used to more modern bathroom appliances, is slightly annoying. You should use a key to lock or just even shut the door from inside a room. It was a little bit annoying. No Gym but room was big enough to do laps in!. No complaints at this price and service,old hotel but with amazing breakfast included!. Only complaint is Belgrade is not easy to fly to from Glasgow. The room door needed a bit of a push in order to lock properly. Windows did not open vertically. No shower in bathroom but a large bath and a hand nozzle to wash with. Suite was clean and serviced regularly however, the room ambience was rather outdated and there was evidence of dampness on the ceiling. Nothing. When 3 friends checked out after 6 nights, we were happy to pay the 120 000 dinars bill. But when the receptionist started an argument about a allegedly missing water bottle (150 dinars) in one of the minibars, his generous tips went down the drain. The musty smell in the hallway. n/a. Almost nothing. Cold and or empty breakfast Bae Maries. This aspect needs much improvement if you are serious about attracting tourists as the availability of a good breakfast in the hotel is a big attraction to most Western tourists and probably others. Shower had no curtain so the bathroom had a shower with you. Desk staff a bit brusque but they did answer every problem quickly so shouldn't complain, just not as friendly as most people we ran into in Belgrade. IF I have to mention any negative sides, it has to be the hidden location, but not a big deal!!. It is central and dining and bars do not close until late, was a bit loud if your room faces the street where the activity is. Nothing!. As a former four seasons hotel employee,i can find many things I did not like.This cost of hotel exactly answers what u need and finally cost&hotel combination is perfect. Cannot park your car in the front of the hotel - it is located in the pedestrian zone. There was not real orange juice in the breakfast but only squash. Yäk!.
