The staff were friendly, helpful and always professional. Our room was large, well-decorated and quite comfortable. The hotel has a calm tranquil atmosphere. Breakfast was always delicious and freshly prepared in front of us. When we arrived very early in the morning, ahead of check-in, we were welcomed by the owner and were made to feel welcome and well-cared for. The decorations in the hotel are unique, like what we saw in some of the galleries in Dakar. This is a very special place.
all reviews » All I can say is: Le Demeure is Excellent on every count! Madam Fanta , she really knows what the art is all about and what the hospitality is all about. Other staffs are also very helpful, kind and friendly. The decor, furnitures of every corner in the house is just breathtaking and easy access to the main road and beaches. As much as I want to keep this beautiful petit palace secret, I want all the good people to experience Senegal with them. Superb!. Beautiful large room. I wish I'd found the guest house earlier in my trip. So much nicer than any other I stayed in. Wonderful breakfast, lots of seclusion. I was there for work (and it was perfectly set up for this with super fast wifi, and lovely working space). But after staying here, I'd like to take my partner back for a more relaxed holiday and some beach time. We stayed in the Zanzibar room which was very spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel feels very homey. We even had access to a shared kitchen to prepare our own meals/snacks. The rooftop restaurant was very nice. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. Location was very convenient for the Almadies zone. Airport pick up was well worth it. We likes the Les Almadies location and the cleanliness of the hotel and neighborhood. The upstairs terrace was nice. It was easy arranging airport pickup. Le Demeure was a short cab ride from Pointe Des Almadies with excellent very fresh seafood options and about 2500 to 3000cfa from the city center by taxi. We would stay here again. The apartment was beautiful and the entire hotel was beautifully decorated and dressed with artistic flair. It was a relaxing experience to stay in such fine surroundings. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was very pleasant - a generous continental style meal with eggs freshly cooked to order. La Demeure was fabulous. The feeling of warmth which you don't get with the impersonality of a hotel. We felt like we were visiting family. Words can't describe, enough, how much I like this guesthouse. I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting that area. The hotel was quiet, very clean and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic place to relax. Free wifi (works best on the terrace), drinks and snacks available on the honor system, and a delicious breakfast served by friendly staff. The large bed was longer than a person of 1.9m. The airport pickup was worth the cost to avoid being hustled. The location was perfect for walking to many sites. The atmosphere was quiet, homey luxury (not pretentious, stuffy luxury). The owners! The decor! The helpfulness of the owners and the staff. They accepted us even though we arrived long before noon and let us get some much-needed sleep after flight. Very lovely and polite they are.Rooms are good.They are smileing :). There was nothing that we didn't like. Nothing! But a bit mosquitoes in the night. As a non French speaker, getting around in Dakar is always difficult. This guest house is a little tucked away. But that can be negotiated with a little pre planning, map drawing and mime. Nothing. Breakfast was 5000 CFA but we did not realize that until checkout. On our first night, the air conditioning did not work in one of the bedrooms of the large suite. It was fine for my partner and I, but some people may be uncomfortable with the open bathroom. I don't think all the rooms have it, though. They ask you 10.000 cfa for an airport pick-up, wich is very expensive for local standards. Because of the proximity to the airport, you could hear the planes at night. Our reservation was lost so our 2-night stay became 1-night and we had to go to a different hotel for the second night. The woman who helped us was very apologetic and understanding and helped us get a good room at a nice hotel.
