Great staff who took time to give us recommendations, give directions, etc. They also speak English well which was an important bonus. Breakfast is a good spread with lots of variety, definitely saved time and money on that. And the location is excellent- right near Nevsky and just a 10-15 min walk to all main attractions. Great price compared to other central St. Pete spots. The location is perfect, a block from Nevsky avenue. You can walk to every city attraction. The personnel is wonderfull, excellent english and helpful. A complete breakfast, with russian specialities and also continental food for foreigners. Nice room, bathroom, pleasant heating, an electric kettle with tea bags were appreciated at night.

Inside the hotel and in all the rooms it's a very cozy 26°C/79°F, which cannot be turned down. With the exceptional cold outside, we found this ok, but it's not everyone's room temperature. Finding the entrance to the hotel is not that clear – it is in a courtyard at the end of Krylova Street (one way street off Sadovaya St) – archway on the left. Slow buffet service during breakfast hours. Not value for money, rooms are clean but look poor. Breakfest is not delicious. Take an (fabric) eyemask with you during the white nights . Not very costly. 260 dollars/night for a 3 star hotel, but this is Russia and St Petersburg prices at midsummer. The chinks round the window opening. So you might be chilled through if you sleep near the window. Sometimes didn't manage to clean room in time. nothing. A little hard to find. The rooms are facing an inner enclosure between buildings and the well works really good as sound amplifier of merry party goers coming home after midnight. Breakfast wasn't the best. wifi was slow, no safebox in economy rooms (but there are ones at the reception). Bar was not very well equiped. Internet speed. Quality of tv. If you book a double bed, you will get 2 single beds pushed together with two single quilts but did have a thin double matt. On arrival you may be given the option to pay extra for a double bed (even though I already paid for the more expensive room). I had to ask 3 times over 2 days for a double quilt. Cleaner walked into the room without knocking. No English tv. The hotel it tucked away in a block courtyard with lots of construction going on. It is not a good first impression when going in. The rooms have no views but are decent. They do not issue invoices for juridical persons!!! It is overpriced for type of facilities you get. It is true economic class. It is very dusty and dirty in the city, very uncomfortable. The entrance to the hotel, via a courtyard and past some pretty bad real estate was a little off-putting.
