Great location, an easy 15 min walk to Red Square and Metro stations less than 10 mins in either direction. Friendly, helpful staff by Russian standards. Warm, clean, comfortable rooms and a good if unchanging breakfast. Convenient small supermarket nearby helped offset high Moscow food and drink prices. Breakfast is good and restaurant staff is very pleasant. Inner patio with a lot of plants and fountain bring a good mood in the morning Mini bar have a small tequila bottles, I didn't check them but it's a good to see them because tequila is not and standard mini bar pack for all.

This hotel really isn't a 4-Star experience but as we had stayed there before we knew what to expect and the location tipped the balance in its favour. Think 3-Star plus. Aircon was suspect for us too but as we were there in December it wasn't too much of an issue. I pay only 30% from original price and for this money there is no claims :). Although rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean the decor looks a bit tired and old fashioned, but nothing wrong with the room just our personal taste. Nothing. It was smelling with cigarettes for no reasons. Superior room is probably meant as one on an upper floor! Spacious but without a proper window. Air Conditioning is poor and close to non existing. Water pressure in the shower just barely enough to wash you. Never managed to have a look at the spa/health facility: it was always "occupied" without any chance of even looking at it. poor climatization. air cooling in the room (too noise). ac was not working so they gave an old cooler. breakfast was poor. Maximum 3 stars.
