The hotel is in downtown Constanta, very close to the seaside, old town and old port but Mamaia beaches are also very easily accessible from here. The hotel was comfortable and staff are very kind, too. The hotel is located next to a main road and we were afraid that traffic noise would be disturbing but this was not the case fortunately. A generous a la carte breakfast was included in the room rate, offered in the restaurant next door, where we had a credit up to 40 RON, which proved to be del.
all reviews » Cherica is definitely very well located with just a few steps from the beach. The staff is really friendly and speaking good English. The room is not small with the sitting area and the bedroom, yet not sure if you can call it 'Deluxe Suite'. We really liked the toiletries ( shower gel, shampoo, body lotion). Breakfast is also not bad and more than enough even though you have to leave the building and go next door to a cafe. Internet connection via wifi free of charge as well as the large choi. This hotel was amazing. We ended up leaving the RRT hotel because it was so awful and went to this one based on letsbookhotel.com ratings. We got a room right away and the front desk staff even booked the room through this website for better prices. The room was lovely as was the restaurant. It was the best meal we had in Romania. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast also runs until 1pm and is a la carte so you can order fresh anything you want. The Hotel is located in Constanta Cuty center. Is operating in a famous and modern Historical Villa, selective renovated and designed! The atmosphere it gives you a 1920' flash back. The receptionists girls are well trained and The Minibar offers a variety of drinks. Since you open the door, it flashes you on the table, a grand nice bottle of red wine. We cannot say anything negative about the hotel itself but have a good advice for fellow travellers: Be super careful when crossing the streets in the city, as traffic lights and pedestrians are not respected at all. Not sure if in other countries such price would need to be paid for such standard as e.g. the decor of the room is not so modern, beds are narrow and rather hard. Also it is interesting that even though the rooms are made up everyday, the beds are not made and the toiletries are not filled up. In the cafe where breakfast is served people smoke and the staff are rather indifferent if not rude- still it's not part of the hotel. The old town in Constanta is under lots of construction. I think once complete the area will be rejuvenated and will have so much tourist potential if done right. Would be nice if Hotels had some booklets showing the finished product and time line for completion. I couldn't,t at this time recommend Constanta as tourist destination, once renovation complete and area cleaned up, I would. Weather was a bit too hot but it wasn't hotel's fault, wasn't it?. Restaurant staff could be a bit more friendly. Nothing. Nothing really. Nothing. Non3. Staff in cafecafe for breakfast could be do better their best!. Nothing bad about hotel, just wanted to say that the old town looks terrible lie after a war, casino is a ruin, the steps to the beach are dirty and it is not light in the evening. But what can expect from a clown mayor who likes only clubbing? I hope the old twon will have a new face soon, it is a lot of potential there. Not accesilble for disabled people, apparently, with one stair to use.
