Centrally located near the Cismigiu Central Park, away from Bucharest's noisy boulevards, Epoque is a stylishly and elegantly decorated boutique hotel with spacious and air-conditioned rooms, as well as free on-site parking and free WiFi in all areas. With interior of neutral colours and with attentively chosen design touches inspired by the Neo-Romanian architectural style, some units have a french balcony and views of the garden. A pillow menu is available, and luxury toiletries are provided in the en-suite bathroom. Each guest room has a well-lit work desk as well as a comfortable living area fitted with an overstuffed sofa, while all suites have 2 flat-screen TVs. Guests can taste the refined French Haute Cuisine with a contemporary touch in L'atelier - l'art culinaire restaurant led by a French resident Executive Chef. A variety of vegetarian dishes is also available. An apéritif can also be enjoyed in its winter garden. Hotel Epoque is within 1 km from the Parliament Palace, the Romanian National Opera and the National Museum of Art. It is also in a close proximity of Bucharest's business and bank district. No wonder why this particular hotel is a winner!!! They treat you like a queen! It was my first time in Bucharest, and first with Epoque in March '13. That night after the opera I was not able to tell the taxi driver the address of Epoque, we assumed every taxi driver would know, since it was located almost round the corner from the National Opera House. Anyhow, after trying our chance with quite a few taxi drivers, I found the address and tel no of hotel through a friend through hotel's web si.
all reviews » The hotel is located right in the center, next to a beautiful park with a lake, 5 min to all the right places, yet hidden among the streets, thus allowing for quitness and privacy. When first arrived to the hotel it seemed like I was entering a castle! Its excellent staff assisted us with every possible request - what to do, where to eat, and even assisting with some car related issues, completely out of their line of responsibility. Glass of wine at check-in, sweets in the room, personal atten. I can't rate this hotel highly enough, without a doubt one of the nicest (if not the nicest) hotel I have ever stayed in. I was upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely lovely- very spacious and with a large balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Epoque offers excellent value for money. I didn't try the spa facilities or the restaurant as I was only there for a very short time, but I'd imagine both are great if the rest of the hotel is anything to go by. If I return to Bucha. The hotel is quiet, the staff is professional and dedicated, communicates in perfect English, rooms are stylish and bathroom is spacious, the spa is nice and clean, and the hotel is centrally located on a quiet street, few steps from the central park...the breakfast is fairly diversified...époque deserves each of its 5 stars and I ll definitely be back. Nothing. nothing. The location, is not far from the center, but it is difficult to reach by car because of the one-way system. The view from the executive suit windows is not good. Acces by car is very difficult even for taxi drivers due to one way streets in the area. nothing, hotel is perfect... No kettle in the room. Want tea? Call reception. Annoying. except that in the lobby bar they didn`t check if the whisky is a quality one.i had drink glenlivet 12years but it was not even close to genuine one. There was some construction work in adjacent buildings and was a cause of disturbance. This though will finish soon. pillows too soft :) view from the room not so perfect... Sometimes the taxis could not find this hidden gem.
