Everything. It is a family friendly, family run hotel in a great location in Old SJ. Can walk to everything. It is not hard on the budget. It is not a luxury hotel, so if that is what you are looking for, stay elsewhere. However, it meets your basic travel needs (clean room, good bed, clean shower) and for us it was perfect. Stay there!!.
The staff were excellent. Their recommendations for eating and little known sites to see became highlights of the stay. The location was great for walking around Old San Juan. This is an established, local hotel with clean, comfortable, and fairly large rooms.all reviews »
this hotel was very quaint and comfortable a great hotel and is centrally located for all conveniences in old san juan. We felt very safe.
The location was perfect, only about a five-minute walk to Hacienda and smack in the middle of Old San Juan.

the man at the front desk would not let you check in until 3 o'clock and we arrived at around 10 from the cruise ship and were very tired.
The A/C temp is fixed and I thought it was too warm.
No window view from economy rooms.
Cruise ship passengers overwhelm the Old city. Would not visit Old San Juan again during the cruise ship season.
Air conditioning didn't work on the second night. They offered to move our room though.
I just need to tell you that the lamp on the left does npt work.
It's a very average hotel with no unique qualities. Once your inside it looks like any other marginal hotel.
Very old building and the air conditioner conked during the night. On a very smelly street.
Dirty room, ceiling tiles with black black mold , 7am maids starting
laundry and talking loud ,mushey mattress, I booked 2 rooms 1 small
and 1 double the price was more for for the double but the quality was
just as gross.
At least one cockroach in the room. No Safe, no refrigerator. Extremely
small tv. Monstrum of noisy aircondition blasting air directly at the
bed. Scary lift. Too expensive.
High price for shabby accommodations.

Its colonial architecture, dating back to the nineteen century, has been restored and renovated to house 30 cozy rooms in the three floors. There are rooms with queen size beds, rooms with two full size beds and rooms with one full size bed as well as two rooms for the handicapped. All rooms are equipped with color TV sets, telephones, air condition, smoke detectors, sprinkler system and mini-refrigerators. An elevator serves all guest room floors.
