The hotel was beautiful! The staff was wonderful and helped us with everything! It was kept tidy and clean daily. Extra charge at the end of our stay for parking was worth the 10 a day, to have the car parked for us. The staff there was great too! The only thing that could be improved on is the swimming pool... It is next to the restaurant and dinning outside, maybe a division of some kind would be good. This would .make it more family oriented.
all reviews » Large, beautiful room in the old building. Tile flooring, wood trim, large comfortable king size bed, two large windows and small balcony with nice curtains and wooden panels. Plenty of drawer space. Modern toilet bathroom. Security safe provided. The small restaurant served very good breakfast (the only meals I ate a the hotel. Valet staff really hustle. Hotel face the old main square which contains a grande cathedral. Staff were very helpful. We had asked where the "locals" go for lunch. We wanted a true PR Lunch...the desk clerks were very helpful with many good suggestions. Lola's which is right on sight for dinner. Was a bit pricey..but a great atmosphere and wonderful food. Wait staff was great too!. Almost everything was great! The valet parking "boys" were excellent; they were very polite, efficient, and fast. "Girls" should take their work a bit more serious. Front Desk attendants were very good, and the room as well! Congratulations!. The Ramada location was great. Parking was great. Accommodations were great and the view was fantastic from our room. Ponce is a wonderful city to visit. The people, shopping and site seeing are great. Restaurant was very nice. Shops and wonderful museums were within walking distance. The restaurant was gourmet class, wonderful food. Coffee shop staff accommodating and friendly with English speaking guests. Location is pretty good considering we wanted to walk all of downtown. Food at the hotel was really very good!!! Parking was never a problem. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The arquitecture, well maintain the structure, wood work, restaurant, casino,staff, room space, clean, bathroom, pkg. and Lola' s Martinis the best ever!. One hard rain resulted in rain water seeping through a window creating puddles of water on the floor. Took housekeeping 3 hours to come mop it up. Extra charge for valet. Some street noise, but not a serious issue for me. Issue with the room key. It didn't work, and had to wait for someone to open it twice. (I know things happen). Valet parking boys were eager to go immediately to tell the front desk personnel; the girls just laughed with lack of manners. Everything else was excellent!. Internet did not work. Refrigerators and microwaves were not available in rooms. Toilet got clogged but was serviced by staff. All the construction going on and starting up too early in AM; and the traffic noise into the night. Had to tell staff about lack of toilet paper in lobby bathrooms. A little too noisy after 1:00 AM but is Chrstmas time in PR so this is understandable. The pool area, small and to close to the entrance of vallet pkg and restaurant. Construction in the hotel (adding a new parking garage) started before 7 am on a Saturday morning. The plaza is active until about 11 PM...noise, traffic, people walking around. Bathrooms need a surface to place things like clothing and personal items, the toilet tank doesn't count as one. They need a bar by the pool. We were in a business trip and there was no internet in the hotel during the three days. The first person told that was a ponctual problem of one day, and the last person told that is a city problem and that the hotel does not have internet ! They are currently expanding the hotel and there is a lot of noise all day long. Outdoor pool is small and near by the parking, impossible to use. Noisy, you can hear the person talking in the corridor and we were too close to the ice machine. It was sometimes noisy, but then you are in a city! The water temperature was a bit erratic. Air conditionning to noisy. Front desk was a bit in orginzed, the food was not very good. Nothing. Parking Notice a new construction to that effect. The noise coming from the construction site. Pool a little small, but location to foot traffic undesirable. Room lacked some common amenities such as face cloths and hand towels. The construction noise in the morning. construction starting at 7 am since 8/2012!!!. The noise. he have new parrkinn star worked 6 am we machines is no comfortaable for relax. The noise to early from the construction. We have problems with the hot water of the shower. I call to the front desk and they suppossed to send some technician but they dont. The noice. Our room was like we are in the road we could not sleep with the cars noice also al 6:00am start the construction repairs at the hotel. Also we had to pay for the parking it should be complimentary for the hotel guests. The room's floor was dirty and the comfort sheet also. Stood there on a Saturday night, it was very noisy seems like all night. It was hard to get hot water in the shower. The door to the balcony did not lock. Had maintenance tie the door for safety. Will not stay here again. Construction noise and the loss of electricity during the morning hours. Being asked to pay extra 30 usd for few hours early check-in. The hotel wasn't busy and most of the hotels are ok to give you a room when is ready and available. Also people often check-out early in the morning as we did at 7 am. Also, the advertising in letsbookhotel.com mentioned breakfast included and they said no. Happened also with the hotel Acacia in sju: no breakfast provided but yes advertised. That's why we booked with both hotels in Pto Rico. Very upset with that issue. They are currently doing some construction work at the hotel, meaning that the area is very dirty and noisy with work starting at 7:30am. They are building a casino that is due to open in March. I think it will be a miracle if it gets finished on time. There isn't really much to the downtown area, but nno doubt the casino will aid it's regeneration. Construction noises and delay in registration. Didn't like hair on sheets upon arrival. Didn't like mold on tiles in shower. Didn't like no hair dryer in room. Didn't like being told we would have ammenities delivered, then no one showing up. Customer service was awful. Service/not clean/. Nobody helped us out with our luggage when we got in. The casino staff were very rude. The construction in front of the rooms woke us up at 6:30am. Bad costumer serv. Bathroom was dirty!no toilet paper soiled bed linens.We booked two rooms, one king and one doble we were given two dobles...When we mentioned problem with reservation we were asked if we really wanted a king room? We said yes it is what we booked.We were told tbat there were no king beds available....Rooms were dirtiest we have ever stayed in!!. We stayed there 2 1/2 years ago and it was nice and clean.now I would not recommended it.. Rooms are dirty,linens are rotten,pillows are scary,bathroom is dirty,mold ,dirty floor and shower, and towels are thinner than a handy wipe no telephone ,as it was broken, no alarm radio or clock. In fact I do recommend not to stay,unless you love the new disco-bar noise inside your room,lot of people sitting and drinking at the hotel inside lobby,and not so friendly hotel staff. rude staff , room uninhabitable,one of the worst hotel of my life.
