The staff were absolutely fantastic! We would like to particualrly thank Kisha and Shiela from Snaps bar, as they went out of their way to accomodate us and make us feel welcome and Karen who works around the magnificent pool, she made us feel like we were around friends as she remembered both our names from our first visit to Sofitel! The buffet breakfast was one of the most extravagent and delicious things I have ever seen (and eaten!), and the rooms were so clean and stocked full of everyt.

The food was excellent, including the breakfast buffet which was vast and covered many different cuisines. If staying in Manila again I would definitely stay in the Sofitel. It offers good central location and value for money. Touted as "interactive buffet", the hotels premier resto "Spiral" offered the widest selection of food.....you need an unparalleled appetite just to sample every bit in it...looking out into Manila Bay, from the manicured gardens surrounding the pool areas, you'd think you are in an island resort except that this is right in the middle of the city. The staff so nice.. Woukd like to thank ms. Joy from the frontdesk.. She gave us the view we requested , offered us the upgrade that we enjoyed. Thanks for the Anniversary Cake.. The service, cleanliness, and the best breakfast compared to many 5 star hotels I've stayed. The variety and quality is fantastic. The use of the lounge is certainly worth the extra that we paid. Free flows of drinks and finger foods from 5 to 7pm is a wonderful experience. Albert the conosieur was outstanding - over and above exceptional. Emma who checked us in was exceptional and informative. all staff were incredibly helpful and professional. the 10th floor was fantastic and the cockails and nibbles and service fantastic. The hotel is luxurious, and the staff wait on you hand and foot. The Spiral restaurant there has a buffet that is just awesome ... I'm talking Vegas level and beyond! The Executive level up grade with the 10th floor lounge access is way worth it. Friendly welcoming staff, superb restaurant. Stylish, comfortable clean room with magnificent view over Manila Bay. Raining so didn't use the outside facilities but they looked impressive. I would recommend and will stay there again. being the guest of the day is a very luxurious stay for us in 2 days ..they upgrade our room to vip and they treat us free breakfast to spiral ..thanks so much sofitel for the unexpected treat....may god bless you more ... the staff were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. The food was exceptional and the facilities excellent. The facities were numerous and anything you requested was delt with immidiately . well done. The comfort of our room and bed plus the over-all costs of our room and food was far better than the Marriott and the Intercontinental Hotels. Great place to stay. Secluded from the city and near the Manila bay, the hotel is a great place for peace, privacy, and relaxation. It's like An Oasis in the middle of the a city. Comfortable rooms the pool area and grounds are beautiful and very comfortable for lounging location close to Mall of Asia, downtown Manila and airport restaurants were beautiful. Expanded grounds, lounge seats, hammocks, cushions, green grass, pool, sunset, sea breeze were all wonderful not to mention the restaurants and lobby lounge.. Very nice. EVERYTHING!! I can quite honestly say, despite my extensive travels the Sofitel Manila is easily the most pleasant stay I have had anywhere in the world!. the staff were nice and quick to respond when i requested to be transferred to another room with nice view. there's an additional cost but it's worth it. I was amazed of the amenities Sofitel it provides especially the ambience and the security of the hotel. Overall I will give it a 5 star. Superb!. the ambiance of th hotel is particularly pleasant, the staff extremely courteous and the pool and spa facilities should not be missed. The bed was amazing... It was quiet and staff spoke good English. They also remembered orders at the restaurant which was great. Clean and efficient check in/ out the staff are great from greeters, desk clerk and luggage handlers.The upgrade was worthwhile. They made me guest of the day. I travel 300 days a year always staying in hotel but this was the first time I felt like a king. the attention to detail, always putting the customer first , the food, the location the staff going that extra mile. excellent staff, very friendly , treated like royalty , nicest breakfast buffet, loved it. The location is a little secluded, and the difficulty of getting taxis. Everything was superb about the hotel. The traffic was ordinary. The trip we did was very ordinary and the dinner and show okay. However, our tour guide, Bernard was great. We would not recommend them. The Manila climate is has worn the exterior a little. The casino is tiny, but I didn't go there for that. Other than that I didn't like having to leave!. A little bit out of the way for night life but convenient for the airport on a stopover over as we were. The location was a bit far from the things we needed to do in Manila. the perfume in the corridor isnt that pleasing to smell. . .maybe something more fresh. . . Didnt like the fact of a 200 deposit for insurance purpose of the hotel. And in conclusion I didn't understand the receipt, therefore wasn't sure if I was charged from my deposit after leaving. The clerk Attendance did not explain the details when checking out. Prices at the hotel are too high; especially breakfast buffet - would have eaten more at the hotel with more reasonable options. The room carpet needs to be changed already.. Too old and worn out. Nothing......the Sofitel Manila is perfect & I will not hesitate to stay in the future. the taxes and other add on cost was not reflected when i made the booking. it was a surprise when i was told when i checked-in that the that rate was Php8,500.00 when i thought it was only Php6,500.00. I have a 4 am flight to another domestic destination so I have to clear my accounts in advance but to my disappointment my room card was deactivated which I am sure it's just a glitch. I opened the windows, and could not sleep one night because of mosquitos. Its away from the main buzz.. They had their own 'taxi service' and charged 600pesos just to get into town (actual taxi ride costs 80pesos) and charges 1500pesos to take you to the airport. Its a bit steep considering the airport is only a 115peso ride in a cab. It was Sunday , we lined up for the breakfast buffet ,few mins. Past only to be informed if the overflow dining is OK, the hostess ushered us to there but the remoteness to the buffet and the ambience is disappointing . I asked to sit somewhere else which she eventually secure us a table for 4. My husband and I has a plane to catch and just wanted a quick breakfast ,have to find a server for coffee seems none around we're we where. Only problem is far from downtown and if you do have business in downtown take at least one hour time for the logistic. buffet too expensive for what it was , food was ok, alcohol bit pricey. Having to leave. Staying is expensive. It's worthy though... slow and low service from the check in to the F&B outlet`s, to many stuff`s, but near nowbody work with interest. The pool aerea was dirty, nowbody clean. Look´s, that the bord should fire the management in this hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable compared to other hotels I have stayed in. Staff would recommend there own taxi service quite often if you we're going out and about. But not really an issue as they would organise a public taxi for you. Tennis court under construction. Sea side under construction. The smell from. no complaints at all. Rooms Services is Very Bad and Materies. a bit pricey. Breakfast was very expensive. Overpriced breakfast,not well organised. on the parking side of the hotel its noisey. Nothing. Air condition was set at 18degrees which was a bit too cold. Was not able to change it.
