Everything about the hotel helped to make our visit to Machu Picchu work. Breakfast started early and provided plenty of nourishment so that we could get to the ruins before sunrise. The rooms were comfortable with terrific beds. The hotel had fruit in the dining area available to guests all day. Best of all was the staff who were always kind, patient, and full of helpful suggestions for restaurants, hikes to beautiful scenery not in the park, and really good massages. They met us at the tr.
all reviews » Liz at the front desk was ever so friendly and helpful when we arrived - letting us know important info about obtaining tickets for Machu Picchu which saved us hours I'm sure. Always had a smile on her face and volunteered many of the hotel free services (bag drop / use of facilities to freshen up after visiting Machu Picchu / free coffee/ free internet - all long after we'd checked out - a really nice touch for a hotel). Room was well appointed and beds were really comfortable. Hot shower was . The staff was extremely friendly, they met us at the train and walked us to the hotel.Close to mineral baths. Did not get room booked and paid the same price, even though I claimed it was not the room I requested (receptionist smiled and said it was an error with letsbookhotel.com). Lack of priority to customers who had bookings, while taking in 'walk off the train' clients. Not impressed. seem expensive for the type of hotel. Hotel was like a maze, building a new room next door to our room. Noisy. It's too expensive for what it is...the room smells like humidity and the bathroom is very small. Besides, the rate on the internet was 150 usd but when we arrived the exchange rate they used was 2.80 usd-soles so actually it gave a total of 160 usd. I wouldn't come back to this hotel.
