The location was great, 2min from train station and 2min walk to catch the bus for Machu Picchu (perfect to get the first buses to watch the sun rise!). The staff were really friendly, waited for us at the station, helped with storing our luggage safely for the day. The breakfast was fantastic (especially for am): bananas, fresh rolls, butter, jam, eggs (choice of scrambled or fried), tea, coffee, fresh juice. Lovely view from window onto the rapid waters & mountain, internet available on f.

The room was absolutely spotless and well cared-for, comfortable bed, piping hot water 24/7, free bottled water, flatscreen tv, decent wifi signal in the rooms and a beautiful view over the river. The location was also quite central - 2 minute walk either to the train station or the buses up to Machu Picchu. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Great place. I was met at the train station with two or three other guests which was a nice touch. As expected the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Staff are up early to offer breakfast to those wanting to get an early bus to MP. They offered to look after my pack while I explored MP, which was handy. I had a room on the "train" side of the building. There was only one train after bed time, and it didn't really bother me. The staff was wonderful here. They actually packed breakfast for us to accommodate our early departure, so we could eat it on the road. They also provided us with boiling water from their kitchen so we could make tea etc. since one of us had a cold. They stored our 4 pieces of luggage promptly and safely when we rushed out the door at 5am to get in line for the Machu Picchu bus. The location is very convenient. friendly people. the day we were visiting the hostal there was no electricity around the village. we get a lot of candles and they do everything instead of the circumstances to give us a good breakfast/lunchbox. after returning from machu picchu we could make use of a refreshing (this time :-) hot shower. also great: it's a only 2 minutes walk to the station and the buses to machu picchu. hotel is in a great location for trekking Machu Picchu. Would suggest booking a room with a river view. The rooms at the front of the hotel overlook the railway tracks and as such can be quite loud at times. The hotel is a short walk from the train station as well as the bus station. The breakfast was eggs, juice, bananas, coffee, bread, butter and jam, and was great just before leaving for Machu Picchu for the day. We asked for a room on the river side of the hotel, which blocked out the sound of the train from the other side of the hotel.. This Adelas was very nice for the price. Although not fancy, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nice free breakfast. The staff (especially Dennis) went out of their way to accommodate our needs. BE SURE TO ASK FOR A ROOM ON THE RIVER SIDE!!. Very helpful and frendly staff, simple but nice and clean rooms, free wifi, close to the train and bus stop. Everything in walking distance. Choose a riverview room, much more silent than the train side. Clean bathroom, Hot shower. Free luggage store. The loacation was great, the price was amazing, and the hostess woke up early to make us a nice breakfast including Eggs and Coca Tea, so we could get to the first bus up to Machu pichu, which picks up just a block from the hostal. Great Value!!. The place is a good choice for Aguas Calientes, being in the center of the village. The sound of the Urubamba river is a very good way of relaxing before a good night of sleep. Also their restaurant in the ground floor is very good. Easy access from train station and to Machu Picchu bus, with riverside view whose rushing whitewater sounds muffled the noise of the trains. Dinner here was a pleasant surprize with wonderful trout and especially good vegetables. This is a family run business and they are lovely and very accommodating. It is not luxury or pretty but it was very clean and I loved looking onto the Urabamba river vs the street side. Location is very central... Easy to find. Perfect location - close to train station and bus transport. Room on riverside offered extra bonus of nature setting. Breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order. The hotel is right next to the train tracks. If have a room on that side, you will be awakened by a train every 2-3 hours. Be sure to ask for a room on the RIVER side. The town itself is a tourist trap, but the hostal was nice, smelled a little, but the whole town smells, and the hostle is right on the train line, 3 feet from the front door, request a room in the back overlooking the roaring river, peaceful. The pillows could be a little bit more confortable. Pillows were a bit lumpy but after 4 days on the inca trail I did not care. Offered everything needed for a single or perhaps 2-night stay with day-time filled by Macchu Picchu adventures. Wi Fi could only reach foyer on 2nd floor. We like everything. A better map to the property would be helpful....it's easy once you know how, but the first arrival in Aguascalientes can be confusing. My wife thought her pillow has hard, mine was fine. I like my beverages cold - they were not as cold as I like them, but I found all of Peru to be that way - can't think of anything else - none of these were big deals, but you asked. early check-out, though understandable. Nothing. Room is a little small but its a budget hotel :). We had a room with a river view, but I still could hear the arrival of trains. The hotel is right next to the train track, very noisy. Ask for a room oriented on the 'torrent' side although the noise of the water could drive you crazy too. In general, I would advice to stay in Agua Calientes no more than one night: the night before so you can go early to mp and take a train back to Cusco that same day. There is absolutely nothing to do/see in Agua Calientes. The map and address provided on letsbookhotel.com were misleading as address is incomplete. We walked in circles before finally locating it. Wifi didn't work as well on the third floor (Worked best on the main floor, okay on the 2nd floor) Only cold water in the bathroom sink. Noise of trains but it didn't stop us sleeping. Noisy room near the street with a bar and dogs. I asked to be moved and they were very kind about moving me. There is a lot of noise from the railway line outside the window, making it difficult to sleep at night. If you are on the train side of the hotel, the trains are very loud when they pass, but luckily stop at around 11 pm. No hot water!!!. Aguas Calientes is an enclosed space as you can only reach it by train (no cars allowed) making you frustratingly dependent on train schedules. Plan carefully as there is not much to do after finishing Machu Picchu. Wifi only works in the lobbies on each floor, not in the rooms. Our room didn't have toilet paper when we arrived. After hiking all day, this really is a compliant. Poor breakfast. Love the sound of the river, but if you open the windows the room is invaded by bugs. Not too hot in Oct, but summer time I can only imagine how hot the rooms get... No hot water! At all!. Right alongside the railway tracks through the town centre. Freight trains noisily through the night slap bang under our window. The reviewer would sleep through Armageddon, but partner was woken early and stayed that way. Good however for getting an early bus to Machu Picchu. Noisy at night when train comes. Steep stairs to the upstairs bedrooms. One side was right next to the train tracks running through the center of town.
