Well located, close to two shopping malls (direct access Multicentro, and close to Multiplaza). Nice room with good amenities. We received a cupom of usd 20,00 to spend with beverages in the hotel. For who is looking for some fun the Hotel has a bar with live music and also a club on the top floo with an amazing view. The food in the pizza/taco restaurant is very good and has a good price. Would definetly stay there again.
all reviews » I had a great experience, staff was friendly, rooms were clean, bellboy help us with our luggage and told us about the elevator and room features. The complementary buffet breakfast was amazing! Price per room was excellent. The mall is connect it with the hotel, so great for shopping. Great view! We are planning to go back next week! Panama rocks!. Room, for 157 bucks u get a great room, with a great breakfast all included, fitness center is one of the best u can find travelling. This time personal was excellet, I left my ipod touch in the room at my check out, I called them back and they hold it for me. Great bar with live music and free 20 usd drinks each night. Restaurants/food was very limited. There was not a place in the hotel to sit down for a nice dinner. We tried to go to Tauro (the steakhouse) but it was closed as was the pan asian place... They suggested we eat in the same place where the breakfast buffet is served. The only other option was at the tapas/pizza place... Surprisingly spacious rooms (the deluxe king is more like a one-bedroom suite) with spectacular views of the bay. Nice pool area and gym facilities. The hotel‘s got everything in the building - many choices for dining, nice bars, and a popular nightclub. You never have to leave the hotel. Everything, I'm still dreaming about the breakfast buffet. Should have a better menu at the m1 level restaurant. Service is a hit or miss. Some are pretty professional and attentive, i.e. check-in counter and lobby staffs; others just really couldn‘t care less. The service was especially bad at the breakfast buffet and the bars/club. It is understandable for the sevice to be slow when it‘s busy, but I think the attitudes of some of the restaurant/bar staffs are simply consistently abominable. It‘s as if I was bringing them a great deal of inconvenience by being their guest. Nothing. Not business oriented, definitely appropriate for family vacation and young travelers. Wifi is concentrated only in a certain section of the suite, lost wifi when in the bedroom. I was asked to stay at the riu to determine if it was suitable for a family reunion. I moved from the riu hotel because it was dirty and, due to the lack of English speaking employees, I was unable to communicate my needs in Spanish. I was disappointed that there were not more English speaking workers. But, for the most part, the room was clean and comfortable. Air-conditioning in the evenings in the restaurant/bars is tuned to so cold that one needs to wear winter clothes to stay warm - feels like walking in the fridge. Wi-fi signal was poor in the room and sometimes in the looby as well. Taxi prices are too high compared if you get a cab in the street! The strawberry smell in the looby is not good. Some of the staff had trouble understanding/speaking English, which for a non-Spanish speaker like myself was sometimes difficult. The elevator is a bit slow. Spotty service especially in bars; When busy, long wait for elevators; Not enough seats at pool; Hotel charges 3x the normal price to hire a car/taxi;. When I went for breakfast, there was no space available, even the room was very big - unfortunatly, more looking like Ibis-Style. If they have so many rooms, then they should have an adequate size of breakfast area. For Panama there are much better hotel, in particular for business travellers. would have been nice to have a small microwave in the room. The WI FI did not work well on the 30th floor - but the view was great. slightly musty smelling when AC turned above 21 C, No Casino in hotel, attached casino disappointing (slots). The phone messages instructions are only in Spanish. The staff did not know how to use the phone system.The music was way too loud. The lighting was poor. The elevator had the passkey access on one side and pressing the floor on the other. Check-out took a long time for a Hotel of this status. Everything was very expensive! Club Bling was not operational; restaurant hours and reservation requirements not clearly displayed or explained; juice credits not fully explained; website states complimentary airport ride but was told by hotel staff that it is only available for business traveler groups. Was charged $3.50 for a local telephone call I did not make. The restaurants in the hotel were not really good.... The worst taxi service that any hotel can have,NEvER take a taxi from the hotel. the bartender downstairs was not very attentive. I would have had another drink if he had asked. There was only one other guest sitting at the bar and it wasn't busy. Being charged for extra guests, rather than just room rate. Limited menu at bars, and pool area and room service. There are many elevators; however, they are slow to come. Once you get on one they are fast, but you can wait a long time to get one. the elevators SUCK and make no sense. You can wait 20 minutes for an elevator. There are enough, they are just programmed terribly. Everything worked fine. Avoid when fully booked, 1468 rooms and three clubs can generate busy moments!!!. No hot water! Slow elevators. Spotty service. Not all staff were so helpful and only half had some English. They tell you taht you have 20 dollares to spend in driks and then they make you to pay for it, never do the discount . the staff is not that professional and trainned and you bave to ask like 4 times teh same thig to get understood but i think this is a panamenian issue ...there is not client orientation and trainning. High costs for beverages and staff attention. Final invoice was different from the signed receipts for consumption of about $ 350. It was corrected after the control by manager Check the prices for bills when checking out. Not many staff spoke English. No hotel information in the room to know where to go for breakfast, dress codes for the restaurants, check out times. Extremely disappointed with the hotel transportation, was charged twice as much to go to a mall as I was by regular taxi. Airport shuttle fares are exorbitant. I paid $18.00 to go from the airport to the hotel and was charged $34.00 to return. Trying to access the level 62.
