I have trouble getting around and the Oslo Apartments were very central. Every single t Bane line stops at Toyen, and the T-bane station was a very short walk away. Also, very good market at Toyen, and the hotel room offered kitchen facilities. Finally the price was affordable and allowed me to make this trip. We had a problem with the first room and the stafff changed our rooms immediately. The location and value for cost makes this a hotel I already plan to return to.
all reviews » The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very good size and the kitchenette was well stocked. The beds were like clouds! It was also very nice to have heated floors in the bathroom. The parking garage was nice because they closed the garage door nightly and you had to go through the lobby to access the garage. I felt safe leaving the rental car in there. I highly recommend this hotel!. Great value for money, considering that in Oslo you could buy two cheapest pizzas for the price you pay per night in a twin room! Clean, great room service, even folded my pajamas for me :DD Good cooking facilities. Nice location as well - 20 mins from central station by foot. Staff was helpful. It was a good stay in general!. Some of the staff work extremely hard and are very good at their job. If you get to deal with Maria and Satnum you are blessed. It was our honeymoon and the hotel responded kindly for this. Great breakfast. Very easy to access by metro, only thing is public transport is quite expensive in Oslo. The apartment was almost right in a city center which was great. The building is very nice and clean and the size of the apartment was perfect for a city a break. It was a great value for money. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious, clean and there is the necessary for cooking a meal which is absolutely a big money- saver in Oslo. staff were very helpful. they agreed to charge my phone after I discovered I left my charger at home! very pleasant stay. - Easy to find / Location - Close to metro / bus station - Space, room, cleanness - Kitchen - Some museums are nearby. Also good for muslim travellers who can easily find halal food in nearby restaurant or you can opt to buy groceries from a turkish shop situated within a stone throw away as all the kitchen utensils are provided in the apartment. The hotel was just a short walk from the metro, making it very easy to get to the city and the beds were comfortable. Localisation was good, near Munch Museum, metro station, Kiwi market and Toyen swimming pool. - fridge and kitchen in the room - more or less central location. Friendly check in staff. the location, the beds. Close to Metro station. Location near train station, also near Botanical Gardens and Munch museum. Two nearby grocery stores and a 7 Eleven. The hotel is just a short walk from the metro, making it very easy to get to the city centre. close to metro-station, 2 stops from central station. - supermarket nearby - subway nearby. black out drapes. sight.. Perhaps that we need to pay extra for pots and pans should have been explained. Also, many rooms are in buildings outside of main building and require climbing many stairs. I was not able to do this. Staff happily and quickly changed the room so that was good. The new room lacked a main working light, and also the mattresses were a bit tired, but these quibbles are few compared to the overall value and location whch are both excellent. To no fault of the hotel, when the fire alarm went off at 12:30 am because of some other guests. Thankfully no fire. At least now we know their smoke alarms work!. We stayed there twice. The first room we got was flawless. But on our way back we got a super-cold room and the beds were so close to the windows, that the wind was literally blowing on our heads. It was in November, so I got a sore throat afterwards. Many stairs and doors to get to the room. There were people smoking right outside the entrance to the rooms. Smoke alarm went off at 3am. What really bothered me was a very strong smell of airfreshener in a hallway. The staff at the reception is a little incompetent and, most of all, they told us we had to pay 50 nok for bed linen per person on the first night and when we were checking out the amount magically incremented to 70 nok per person, so we had to pay the difference that nobody told us before. Beware of that and make sure you sign something on the first night so that they won't ask you for other money. Wifi is not free even in the lobby, you have to use the computer. only one thing confused me, that I had to live with unknown man. No free wi-fi, and located in a seemingly dangerous area (it's best not to go back to the hotel after dark). You have to pay for the internet and it is quite expensive. The hotel is far from most of the attractions of the city, but close to a metro station. The neighbourhood is not the best. They charged for bedlinen until we got there, and it was not cleared when booking online. There was no hot water in the night. Quite expensive but perhaps not for Oslo. The fact that there were no lights on in the corridors in the apartment block was not good purely for the safety aspect of things. we were tow girls but when we came girl at the reseption said that the third guy in the room will be a man!!! he was confused and we also but whey did nothing to solve a problem(((. - apartment organized in 3 floors - ground + 2 : long staircases : not informed in advance, thankfully all of us without disabilities - no elevator to reach the apartment : difficult with luggage - only one bathroom for 4 adults - kitchenette not fully equipped - no microwave in kitchenette - no dark curtains to keep the early morning light out - bfast : uncooked bacon, sausages actually hot dogs, not value for money (99 kr if booked previous day, 159 if one "walks by" ). Lot of stairs, some rooms might be difficult to access for families with small children (not accesable for disabled people). Not a luxorious place but still a good choise when travelling with limited budget. TV was a flat TV as promised but the quolity of antenna signal was below any quality standards. The water didn't go away in the shower. It was on the floor several hours after someone had taken a shower. Too noisy outside for those rooms which look into the inneryard. No response to questions posed via email (as I had requested) prior to check in, no elevator access to our room (had to carry large stroller up and down stairs), no side tables by any beds, nowhere to set things in the bathroom, some stained linens. Some mould in the bathroom. Indoor is too warm while outside is very cold, which is not very comfortable. poor parking opportunities in the neighborhood. The flood needed a good vaccum. Apartment at the back. Got wet, very dirty and untidy outside, old out of running vehicle parked outside. Noisy guests next door waking us up early hours. Alarm in room woke us up. Floor in apartment very dirty, asked several times to be cleaned. The rooms are not the ones shown in the pictures and the bathroom is smelling. Personnel is not attentive at all. Expencive breakfast. Expensive parking places. I had to make bed myself, only 1 towel was provided. No glasses for water or napkins. No ventilation. No telephone in the room. . The staff wasn't friendly. We have been obliged to rent bed linen and we couldn't use ours. No way to cook just the microwave oven and no tableware of any type... It'd be good if you can provide hairdryer in the apartment. And a small table would be so convinience for the guest to dine-in. As travellers with heavy luggages, it's painful to carry them up the staircase, so providing a lift would be very necessary. And additional charge like the rental of towel and bedsheet which was made complusory( though you have your own towel) should be clearly stated. The curtains did not block out any light, and with the sun up til 9pm, it made getting my daughter to sleep quite tricky. The room was also noisy, both from street noise and other guests. Our room was a very long way from the check-in desk, but the staff didn't tell us that we could have parked closer around the back. The room was also dirty, the floor was very dirty and the bathroom was too. The kitchen was very poorly equipped, which made cooking quite challenging. I heared noises from other room and smell a little bit of mold. I tried to refresh air but almost all windows were permanently closed. - paid and quite slow wi-fi - one of two keys from the door didn't work - neighbourhood is not good - there was a washing machine with few dirty towels in it. Rooms not cleaned/bedding not changed Cramped rooms Noisey (paper thin walls TV reception bad. insufficient kitchenware , poor accessibility to the appartment(no elevator), expensive hotel parking, expensive internet service, tiny worms in bathroom. They asked me for a deposit 4 times of the cost of the room (2000nok), because I wanted to pay cash. That was not wrtten in my letsbookhotel.com, it was written a deposit but not figure...There was nothing in the blody room to cost 400 Dolars ... Wifi to expensive (10 Euro) and didn t function properly Receptionist badly speak English. everything is an additional cost. Wifi - cca 10$ per day Breakfast - cca 25$ per day. paper thin wallls, well below average room standard. The room smelled of smoke!. Room cleaning was very poor, no change of towels, bathroom not cleaned, all they did was empty the rubbish. No lift to rooms, had to drag suitcases up two flights of stairs. Reception was done by Best Western staff who seems to treat Oslo Apartment guests as second rate. No breakfast and daily charge for Internet service. My room windows opens to the road, easy to break-in if it is opened. Apartment at the back. Got wet, very dirty and untidy outside, old out of running vehicle parked outside. Noisy guests next door waking us up early hours. The floor in apartment was very dirty, asked several times to be cleaned. No shower gel, not even a soap. No internet. -room/appartment in bad conditions, and very dark and uncomfortable -bad cleaning -noise from other appartments. - no elevator - expensive wifi and not even good connection - very noisy - Extra cost for Towels! ! - phone didnt work - staff treats the apartment guests as second rate compared to the hotel guests. - apartments are far from reception - very poor kitchen and cutlery - Smoke alarm went off in middle of the night. The price for a HOSTEL was expensive, two nights were over $521. or 2990 NOK. We were robbed in Voss and felt we were robbed again at this hotel. The reason for taking this place was to get a Visa card sent to the address. Other wise we would have skipped it.The bath had such a strong smell of mold, I had to run the heater all night to get rid of it and I also had to take allergy meds to prevent Asthma. A dreadful experience with this place. This is a very bad condition old factory they have tryed a very recover on.
