This hotel is the perfect example of gorgeous colonial architecture with all the conveniences of a modern hotel. It is comfortable, beautiful and has two courtyards, one with a lovely fountain and garden and the other with a pool and waterfall. The location is perfect within easy walking distance of all tourist destinations, cafes and restaurants. The staff is attentive and friendly and our room was perfectly located on the first floor with a colonial balcony overlooking the cobblestone str.
all reviews » A quaint hotel in Granada with a good location. We were only there one night but had no complaints about the hotel, and would stay there again if we go back. An email was sent requesting airport transfer to the hotel but the email address was the manager's and the message did not get through to the front desk. We had to repeat the request again on arrival at Managua Airport and had to wait for the transfer to arrive. Was a challenge to find at night as I did not speak Spanish well .... The girl at the reception, your first contact, was rude and abrupt and made me feel like a nuisance for checking in. Finding the property. The street we needed to drive on had a daily market and we had a hard time reaching the place. We did get lost a lot, not a lot of street signs. broken plug in bath (room 114) very slow service at breakfast staff in coffee bar were rude. Dark room. some people might find the location in the Calle la Calzada, read busiest street of Granada, great, however it did heavily disturb our night rest (if we would have known in advance we probably wouldn't have booked). The rooms were very small, beds uncomfortable and airco very noisy, not what you expect from what Dario claims to be; a 5 star hotel and a 117$ rate/night. I was with my girlfriend there and on returning from dinner the security man was thinking she is a prostitute , he wasnt aware that im staying there with her , he made problems letting us inside and ask for money for him??? After he found that we both stay there was ok , but made us fill very uncomftible ... Ruin perfect evening ... I left next day ... Never coming back there.
