it was is in walkable distance to all facilities..restaurants, shopping, lakeside etc. Clean and secure accommodation. Right next door to the police stn.. lol..large comfortable rooms, loads of information, free parking, ensuite and bathroom for the kids..all great. We liked everything about the apartment. So roomy, wonderful bathroom, plenty of space to put bags and stuff. Extremely handy to the town, but still quiet. Very nice and helpful staff. Super clean. I would absolutely stay here again.
all reviews » Very comfortable rooms with all we required. The location was perfect for quick & easy access to the hub of Queenstown. The manager was very accommodating at changing our room to one with shower only at our request. the rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. the location is perfect - no hills to climb at the end of a long day. Centrally located to all everything that queenstown city has to offer. Easy walk to town & lake . Great shopping.Comfortable, clean but dated.Great king size bed. Lift handy for luggage, good undercover parking . Close to beautiful gardens & walks. I liked that the room was serviced every day. Also that it was such a great location. The staff member at the reception desk was very pleasant & helpful also. Location is fantastic - no views but the convenience to town is fantastic. Step outside & you are right in the heart of town & 2mins to the lake. Exec 1BR (#203) was great size, v.comfortable, great views, excellent convenient location just moments walk to everything. We stayed on the first floor and the hallway smelled very musty and stale. But we still enjoyed our stay and will be recommending the St. James Apartments to our friends. Didn't like the unlit path at night. They need to light the path. Nothing. Nothing. although we booked an apartment with lake view, we couldn't really see the lake because of trees and other buildings. Noise! Noise travels in the apartments, a couple of noisy 3am guests, but I know this can not be helped by the managers. front desk open only at 9am may be 8am may be helpful. Room wasn't serviced often enough. Provision for recycling would be helpful. WiFi should be available free of charge. No direct access from carpark. toiletries. Fold out couch very uncomfortable. Peculiar odor in hall and first apartment. 106. Second night we stayed in different apt that was not clean and had overpowering cologne smell. 107. Would have liked towels to have been changed at least every two days and not having to ask for clean towels. No iron or ironing board in appt thought these were necessary requirements to get their ratings. Very dark had to have lights on at all times. Not having free internet. Toilets leaked and had to be turned off at wall. Drinking glasses were dirty and had to be re-washed. Man at reception. bit old needs a refurbishment. Could do with a bit of revamp. We found this apartment very smelly even after we had left the stink of the apartment was still in all of our clothes wish were in suitcases.
