all reviews » Nice room, functional hotel. Very friendly staff. Room comfortable although not particularly spacious. Bathroom was very well laid out. Breakfast was quite good, but with a limited range of hot food. Location a lttle out of the cente, but that proved to be beneficial as we took a good walk back after dinner. A little noisy when trams passed by, but not too often. Good value for money compared to the competition. Large room and bathroom, good selection for breakfast, helpful staff. spacious room, pleasant staff, good breakfast. The staff were friendly and professional, room clean and comfortable,not bad breakfast with adequate choices. Only 8 minutes to the Centre oftown on the no.17 Tram so not as far out as I had imagined.Our room on the back of the hotel was very quiet. Great to have that in a busy city on a Saturday night. I liked the room and the politeness of the staff in the reception.Desk staff was exceptional,helpful. Simple but comfortable.The room was comfortable and the breakfast selection was very good. Service, cleanliness and comfort. convenience of public transport. spacious room. the hotel is well situated and the room was comfortable and clean. It would have been nice to have had a supply of different teas/bottled water available plus a small packet of biscuits - only for when you have been out all afternoon with a cup of tea it would nice to have been able to have a small snack i.e. biscuits. Please do not take this as a criticism as it is not merely an observation. Would have preferred wireless to also be available in the rooms, food to be served later and a wider choice of food.The side window in the roof was a bit drafty. Breakfast is a bit expensive. Parking outside turned out to be ok - but spaces are hit or miss. Nothing that would prevent me from staying there again.the coffeepot was covered with a slight dust. The original room at the front of the hotel was very noisy but I wasimmediately moved on request. I requested a 6am morning call which didnot happen ! this set me back as I was travelling to the North ofHolland that day and missed the early train. There was not enough room between the bed and the desk. We had to squeeze through. The bathroom was very cold and didn't have any heating. The toilet wasn't spotlessly clean. We couldn't leave the window open during the night as it didn't have a security lock; it only opened very wide and as we were on the ground floor facing the parking place anybody could just jump into our room. In the end we tied the window handles together with a belt. Not ideal. There was a weird smell in the room, maybe because of humidity or sweating. It wasn't very dominant, but maybe the rooms should be better refreshed with clean air.In my opinion the carpet in the room was very dirty. Try get it shampooed ,if no change replacement would be a good solution. The shower curtain was dirty.We were in a room at the front of the hotel and there was a lot of traffic noise that went on throughout the night.If visiting again we would request a room away from the road. Breakfast was a little cramped due to the layout of the buffet, some confusion caused by people queueing for the coffee machine and others in the same queue but just wanting food - this should be changed.decor is outdated and walls would need a good refresh.. Room I was given was at the corner of the hotel. Bit noisyoutside at night.the room safe was broken. on web site was said that the in room loby is available free wireless but that was not true (any more) also the wireless connection (paid one) in my room was poor. Moved rooms due to the fact that we were initially in a room with a connecting door to the next room. We could hear all noise from next door and they could probably hear us!!. There wasn't anyone at the reception when I arrived and checked out. I had to wait for about 10 minutes and ring the bell thrice upon arrival and it was same when I wanted to check out. The bath room looked quite old . It had a water leakage problem and the shower curtain was dirty. I can have a much better deal for money spent else where in den haag. No wifi in room.Service was very poor, and location wasn't that good if you didn't have a car.The room was not cleaned during my stay. This Hotel is an honest 3 star hotel , old rooms , old carpet (dirty), no restaurant, very very noisy rooms, poor standard overall.I had to change rooms twice. The first room assigned to me was not cleaned, the second people had smoked in. Additionaly I found it bizar and annoying that I had to rent a device (8.95 Euro) to be able to see standard tv channels such as CNN and the BBC world. The staff were rather surly. We had a "Superior" room on the fifth floor, the lift only went to the 4th floor so another floor needed to be climbed. The room looked tired and there was an old fashioned kitchen sink unit and fridge in the corner of the room as well as a microwave oven plonked on the desk next to the dated tv. Not what I would expect for a superior room at these prices.No restaurant, small lobby, no internet connection in rooms, no minibar.

Car: From the highway you follow the signs Den Haag. Inside The Hague you follow the Utrechtsebaan until the end of the highway. At the end of the Utrechtsebaan you turn left, you are now on the Zuidhollandlaan. You follow this road and at the next trafficlights you turn right, you are now on the Koningskade. First traffic lights to the left and than keep on going straight (Dr. Kuyperstraat, Mauritskade, Hoge Wal, Elandstraat). You follow this road until you can not go any further, you turn right. You are now on the Waldeck Pyrmontkade. Keep on going straight and after the fourth street, you turn right. You are now on the Laan van Meerdervoort. After 250 meters you see the hotel on your right hand. The hotel offers parking facilities for up to 15 cars. Public Transport: From Utrecht you take the train to Den Haag C.S. You can take tram 17 on the first floor of the Cental Station direction Statenkwartier. You get off the tram at the stop called Waldeck Pyrmont kade. You walk 250 meters back and you will see the hotel at your right hand.
