The receptionist was very friendly. She kindly recommended some tourists spots in Rotterdam to us. She even helped save our trip by helping us to open my luggage, the lock on which was broken. The room was very comfortable and spacious too. Friendly staff, cool indoor smoking area and a billiard table at the bar! Room was big enough to accommodate 4 people. Good value for money.

This is a no-frills hotel for the budget-minded traveller. Location, price and ensuite bathroom OK. Quiet facing the rear. No noise from adjacent rooms. The location close to central station was really good. We pick a three beds room and the it looked rather clean and space was wide and comfortable. Check in was a breeze. Staff was good. Location is very good. Walkable distance to public transport, shopping and sights. Location. Nothing. The wi-fi was not working. The window at our room couldn't close properly. Steep stairs (as always in Netherlands). internet. Room looking towards the street - quite strong street noise. No lift - stairs were steep, narrow and winding. Ceiling tiles were broken and stained. No kettle or hairdryer in room. Only one towel each. Only one accessible electric socket. Free Wi Fi could not be accessed from upper floor. Single glazed window looking out on main road - very noisy.No restaurant. There was smoke seeping in from an adjescent room when the bathroom fan was on. The mattress and pillow was of poor quality. Breakfast is not served before 8am. They promise to print invoice next morning which they didn't, because there was nobody at the attendancy desk at 8'30 h. They didn't print our boarding cards to take the evening flight so it change a bit our scheduel, as we must be 1 h. 30 min in advance in the airport. Little details that make your stay more comfortable didn't happen. The room rate was high for the type and size of room and facilities. It was a very basic room, without the usual amenities like telephone, table etc. Don't expect much more from it besides a place to sleep. The service was poor. The facilities were poor. The staff were unfriendly and uninterested. The building was in poor repair. Breakfast was a joke I am a marathon runner and couldn't get fresh food. Also they only had 3 bowls fit whole hotel. Not impressed at all. Terrible.
