Hotel in an original setting (a former prison, with the steel doors still present) and a central location (not difficult in Roermond). Very confortable rooms (most complete bathroom kit ever, even includes washing cloth), excellent restaurant, friendly and helpfull staff, computer available for hotel guests), etc. Definitely worth a detour. We´ve decided to stay there thanks to very good refferences and, of course, nice price. We were completely satisfied, people didn´t lie:
- nice place (small town, nice house, garden with roofing, ability to have "picknick-supper" on our own etc.)
- great hospitality (owner is very kind man who is always prepared to do what will make your stay more and more comfortable)
- breakfast is very good (you cannot be able, you will get more coffee or croissants etc., if you want and need)

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Big, spacious and stylish room in a real castle. We slept very well and thick walls and dark curtains made us sleep completely undisturbed. Excellent meals, marvelous served breakfast, very good service. -

Loved how the owners had renovated the old farm buildings. Very tastefully modernised without losing any of the character of the place. Also the owners were very very helpful and friendly. Ideally situated for visiting nearby places.

In the middle of the small Village of Gulpen. Very nice and large bathroom. Big room and bed. Outside Old style, small and romantic setting with a nice terrace between walls. Solid cooking with enough variety and good quality food.
