The food was excellent. A very nice hotel in terms of price/quality. Good breakfast and a very nice Portuguese restaurant attached to the hotel.Very polite and helpful staff. The staff was pleasant, helped wih carrying bags, caling taxis, etc.The place had character. A very nice hotel restaurant, the hotel location in a very centre of the city and the park just outside the hotel.Close to the centre of Nijmegen. the hotel is in the middle of the city centre. Would of been nice to have tea and coffe facilities in the room. The only complaint is that the bathroom door was a small wooden shutter, covering only half of the door, which left very little privacy when going to the bathroom.The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. Beds are too soft. The room was not sufficiently heated, despite of two thick blankets themattress I had slept on was still chilly in the late morning. Take awarm pyjama and sleeping socks!!. the mattress, the bathroom door, the price. Too warm insight and a bubbling heating kettle. The hotel is shabby and run down looking. The entrance is just off the street and one must walk up about a dozen steps to the front desk. There is no air conditioning, so one must keep the windows open and especially on the weekend the neighborhood is noisy.The cleanliness of the room is really poor, it would be nice to change the towels at least once in a week. Very expensive for basic conditions. Rooms very small, beds not too comfortable. No lift.the badroom was not clean, it was really noisy. I paid 100euros for a double room, that looked a bit oldfashioned. Nohot waterin most of the rooms in the morning (several mornings in a row)the staff seemed to be aware of it, but not willing to fix it at all.The walls are like paper, which makes the hotel rather noisy. Definitelynot worth the money they ask.room was dirty; no soap in bathroom; towels had stains on them; no wardrobe or place to hang clothes; could not use restaurant or bar as owner away.

The City Park Hotel is not only attractive because of its favorable position. Recently all of the rooms have been entirely renovated to a 3 Star level. The City Park Hotel has both smaller/cheaper rooms as larger/more luxurious.
The rooms have no needless luxury, and the prices and quality are in good proportion.
