It was very clean and comfortable with reliable service. Being so close to the central train station is a big plus. They also were very accomodating regarding storing luggage pre and post check-in time (to correspond to flight times). The quiet location and the efficient heating.clean, efficient, everthing worked, location. Convenience to town centre. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, nice rooms and the premier rooms with attached suite are excellent for both relaxation and working in the evenings.. WIFI service worked well. Walking distance to Leiden station and Leiden centre.

For our needs, the location and price was excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.It's location and friendly staff. Reception accomodated my unexpectedly late arrival without problems. It was great to have a tea/coffee tray in the room, but that powdered milk was foul, fresh milk would have been better. Clean, nice hotel, didn't like the breakfast much, but you have to accept that when in another Country they may do things different to you, that's one of the things that makes travelling interesting. This hotel is near the train station but just far enough away to be a quiet location. Easy to walk the area of Leiden, would definitely recommend to travellers. Convenient location to walking to historic city center, yet located in quiet, lovely residential neighborhood. Allowed parking facility. The personel was friendly. The windows did not fit properly and there was a draught coming in at the bottom, which we were able to contain by rolling towels up and putting them along the windowsill. This would not have mattered had the weather not been extremely cold.stairs were steep - lift was small. The check in restriction at 22.00hrs is not ideal for business travellers in particular who may be affected by flight delays. Repeating the full ID check in process manually each time you stay seems unnecessary when a computer entry would be saved. Breakfast on offer ( no restaurant) is limited but was adequate for me and there are plenty of restaurants in Leiden within walking distance. We were somewhat confused by the "no cooking allowed unless you pay additional money" despite the fact that there was a stove and a kitchenette complete with dishes, table and chairs, in the suite. Also would have preferred that the refrigerator be used for our groceries instead of being a mini-bar only. (we were on a budget vacation, and bought dinner a few nights at the grocery nearby). We didn't appreciate being asked to pay upfront as the hotel already had all our details through Booking Com. As there was space to park on the Hotel property charging for parking was probably unnecessary as there was also parking in the street. Although the staff were polite it felt a bit sterile. No breakfast room. Was asked at checkin what time I wished breakfast delivered to room but was not informed that there was a cost. The booking explained it was not included, but I was paying through a spring promotion rate and thought maybe that also included breakfast. At checkout, the hotel did reduce the cost of the breakfast due to this confusion. There was no restaurant, not much facilities so slightly expensive in my opinion.rules and regulations... Expensive WIFI connection. not much public room space. Check in is before 9pm only !!!! Also breakfast is served in room only. And the credit card was charged on the night of arrival rather than the day of departure. Basically unfriendly to buisness travellers.Beware the reception closes very early and not attended beyond 8-9pm - makes it very difficult when travelling timetables may not be reliable. Ring ahead. Customer focus a little disappointing. One of the staff was condescending having to remind me more than once about not opening the emergency door. Plus when I asked him to help me with a local appointment, he charged me 3.75€ for a two minute local phone call!. we have got food for breakfast wich availability was expired. interior. not as nice as appeared in photo, probably bit expensive for facilities. They charged extra for everything.Many things, price/quality mix no good. Far too expensive.

Also every Wednesday and Saturday a large general market is held along the banks of the Rhine, a market that has existed for over 900 years!
