What people say
Fantastic value for money. Nice sized rooms with breakfast included. The hotel is in a great central location, really easy to find and is close to the main tram routes, supermarket and post office as well as popular attractions. I would definately stay there again. Warm room, beautiful view of canal, friendly staff, internet access, information cards of where to visit. close to centre of Amsterdam. all reviews »
Location was brilliant and very clean. Canal view was great. Staff extremely friendly. Clean, nice workers, good location. It was a small friendly hotel that provided us with all the services that we needed for our short stay in Amsterdam. It was reasonably near the public transport stops. Perfect location for exploring the city by foot... close to good coffee shops and train station. Beautiful friendly cat... rooms were clean and the mattresses were new.the staff is great and an awsome breakfast, the best start for a day in Amsterdam. the lovely friendly people and their cat. Friendly staff and location. The hotel was small, but it was cosy. The staff were a bit quiet, but helpful and friendly. The breakfast was just enough, the tea was very nice and i had the best 4 nights sleep ever! The beds were very comfy. the hotel was in the middle of all the attrations, Dam sqaure and the red light disrict was one way and leidseplein was the other side, the best of both worlds.Conveniently located, on a canal. loved Othello the cat, great great breakfast, very helpful staff, non smoking. Location is excellent, beds were very comfortable. location and service. Location is absolutely excellent, it is very dutch, so if you arehosting American Guests you must explain how normal life is in Holland, and therein is an excellent hotel which I will recommend to all of ourstaff and friends for future use. However, if one has a cat allergy itis not the hotel to stay at. As the breakfast room has a huge cat.The location is particularly good... at the same time it is in a quiet area, it is also within walking distance to most Amsterdam attractions and nightlife. We only needed a basic room for 1 night in Amsterdam and found that a lot of the hotels were quite pricy. This was not. Basic room (did not require any more), good breakfast, reasonable location, very friendly and helpful staff who actually changed our booking to a family room, FOC. If we go back to Amsterdam we will use LetsBookHotel.com and stay here.proximity to centre and train station; friendly staff ; cleanliness of room, comfortable beds,. Good location, quaint, homely hotel overlooking Herengracht, good breakfastand service.Great Location. Good service. I liked the canal view from our bedroom. I liked the beds and coverings. I liked the friendly cat. I liked the breakfast. I liked the easy internet access.Atmosphere of Amsterdam Centre. It was quiet. Well located.Nice location. Considering this was the cheapest BandB we found, the quality was a lot better than we expected and we'd definately stay there again. Loved the adorable cat who lives there!!. The location is spectaular and it's really handy to have wireless. The gentleman from Berlin was SO pleasant. The cat is very unique and beautiful. The position is perfect. So convenient for everything and very central. The hotel cat is gorgeous!. the location of the hotel was very good indeed. central location. Friendly staff. excellent place, nice staff. Location. Quiet despite being in city centre. Rooms small and very basic but adequate. Plenty of hot water for shower. The real amsterdam feeling. very near city center.Location was excellent. Clean and cozy. Very quiet. Canal side. Not far from the "Golden Bend" on Herengracht. Close to central station. We didn't need wheels between. Free luggage storage.Central location at a nice canal. Location. Only bad point was the steepness of the stairs which was quite amusing really. Bit difficult carrying heavy bags up very steep stairs but staff extremely helpful. Not too keen on cat being allowed into breakfast room whilst people were eating. Would not have liked a room at the back of the hotel. The stairs to the upper floors were very steep - not a problem for us, but could be a problem for anyone with limited mobility. This fact might be worth mentioning.Room was a little cold because the radiator was broken but still good value for money as Amsterdam goes. small stairwell. just that there was no canal boat tour. my girlfriend and i were a little bit let down as we wanted to have a private tour. The stairs were very steep and did not enjoy luggin my case down them. They did not clean under the bed. The huge cat in the Breakfast room who feels that he can eat from yourplate. If your a cat lover , this is great, if your not or have anallergy this is a legthal expereince. the stairs, small room. Mosquitoes from the canal! No tv. I did not like the rough toilet paper. It was like small, pull-out, paper hand towels in a dispenser. I prefer rolls over individual sheets. The stairs but that's part of staying in an old building. The other staff members were rude and unprofessional. I think they require a reminder that they are working at a Hotel and that a hotel needs to cater for customers' needs not their own. The "Luxuary" room looked out onto a flat roof! However it was very quiet. In all fairness it was a very clean but fairly basic room not luxuary. The chair cover was very worn and looked as though something had been spilt on it - it hadn't but it looked tatty. There were no bedside cabinets so I think a description of a triple room with facilities ensuite would be fairer.I seemed to have sustained a number of mosquito nights during the night which maybe down to the exceptionally hot spring weather and the abundance of canals. No Television in room. very small room, without any wardrobe or shelf so all the week my had to keep our cloths in the suitcases; only 1 socket in the room. Breakfast acceptable but not great by Dutch standards!. no lift and if staying on higher floor with big luggage, will be a challenge. The highest priced hotel on my 3 week holiday, long way from the best. The room is quite small, just enough for 2 single beds, a 2 ft x 1 ft table and a chair. A tiny hole to hang coats but hard to reach. No room for suitcase. A sink in the room but shared bathroom/shower. Staircase is narrow and steep. Need to be very careful when hike up and down. It would have been nice with a bigger breakfast buffé.Building work; Breakfast room was dismantled on last day - we were given no notice that this would happen, although the hotel did pay for us to have breakfast at a local bakers.
