It is a very nice hotel, in a very quite area of the city.public transport just in front of the hotel. very kind staff!. friendliness of staff, comfort of the beds, quality of bathroom facilities. Hotel Abba is still, without doubt, Amsterdams best budget hotel. The price, the location, the breakfast selection.Very quiet room. excellent location, walking distance to city. rooms small but comfrtable. bathroom clean and good. breakfast lovely. staff great. The hotel stuff was very kind and helpful.. Breakfast was simple and nice. How central, liberal and accecable the hotel is.I arrived hoping for all the best but expecting the worse. I was politely surprised to find that the hotel was noticeably clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly. It had all the right facilities for my stay to be very comfortable - just without lots of extra gloss! I’m glad to say it didn’t feel drabby like I expected, at all. I would most definitely re-visit. The rooms were cosy. Everyday they were cleaned and tidied. The bathroom even though t was shared, was warm in the moring and clean after use. The breakfast included a selectino of different breads and jams, plus chocolate and cereals.Clean, comfortable room, bathroom and a great price. It's a little out of the way from the center but its an easy tram ride right from the front door. Staff were helpful and most places were in walking distance once you don't mind walking - van gogh museum, red light district, centraal station. The staff are always there! Upbeat...friendly. Helpful friendly staff, nice breakfast. The location and price were excellent. The breakfast was good, the staff were friendly, and my room was nice. I liked that the store was close to the museums and right above a grocery store and ATM. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from a tram stop andis above a large well stocked grocery store. The staff were helpfull andfriendly. Breakfast was simple and good.Friendly staff, clean room, nice ensuite, right next to the tram stop to take you into town. Right on Vondel park (a must!) and Leidesplein with lots of nice cafes and bars. clean room, view (at the back) excellent, interesting to look at the apartments around the block how to make the best of the limited space in Amsterdam.Friendly staff, good breakfast included in room rate. Tram stop right outside hotel - also small supermarket on ground floor of building!. great room for that kinda money, perfect location, 5 min to vondelpark, 5 min to leidseplein. quiet and smoker friendly.these are friendly folks with a very special hotel right on overtoom, excellent, wholesome breakfast (no scrimping). Surprised at size of room- was large. Security deposit box is free to use, only a deposit required. The quality/price relation. Not only it has nice amenities, it's also well located. clean, big rooms, ok breakfast and nice to be outside the husstle of centrum.great breakfast, friendly personel, good situation of the hotel, nice price. Very economical hotel that provides good service and value for the money. Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, good breakfast. The convenience of the supermarket just below the hotel. Clean, safe, great location, friendly staff. located near downtown (approx. 200m away from the leidseplein), nice clean rooms with toiletandshower, smoker-friendly (do the fire alams really work?), personnel was really cool and loved to help wherever it was necessary, cheapest prices one can find in that category, splendid breakfast (what more could you wish for than coffee|tea|cold cuts|cheese|eggs|marmelade|cornflakes+milk|toast|fruits ???. Second time staying at Hotel Abba, would recommend to anyone looking for convenience, also budgetary concerns. It is important to note that this is a "budget hotel" - no frills at all, but if that's what you're needing, this place fits the bill perfectly. Rooms are clean and the staff does a good job of cleaning rooms daily, beds are comfortable (in my opinion), bathrooms clean. helpful staff, tram right outside the hotel, however the hotel is not far out and I walked everyday. breakfast is really good for the price range of the hotel. Extremely comfortable beds! The hotel staff were nice and helpful, plus the location couldn't be any better. I'm definately staying in hotel Abba again!. Very good value for money. Next to a tram stop but also walking distance to the city centre. Friendly stuff, small but clean and comfortable room.Tv, Clean and tidy hotel. Was basic but for a basic hotel it was very clean and I felt very safe at the hotel. good location, decent breakfast, helpful staff, quiet inside the hotel even though there were lots of guests.Clean and confortable room, and very good location. The staff was always helpful, and had a good breakfast. Near to the center and to the amusement center. You can go by walking to every site of town.Close to central amsterdam, price, staf, breakfest, room size and good beds!. opting for the bathroom in your room is well worth it.Staff werer friendly and very helpful. Spacious room, and well connected. large bedroom, nicely heated. the service is very good.Good location, near Liedensplein and in front of tram. Clean, orderly and private. Well organized and good value for money. Staff works hard and right on top of supermarket if you are on a budget. Had a real charm to it. Felt like our apartment in Amsterdam for a few days. Only share bathroom with one room. Nice time. Breakfast was a real surprise :) tasty, good quality and wide selection.Even though, the room is simply furnished, it was clean. We appreciateda lot the view over the courtyard, instead of a busy street... Thishotel is really a good value for your money.Though a very simple hotel, I really enjoyed its location (near the tram stop and a supermarket). The double room was big and had a balcony. Excellent value for money. The hotel was clean, cofortable and very close to everything. Very surprising for the price. Amsterdam stairs are Amsterdam stairs. Just be careful. Crawl if needbe. Great. not at all. it was spot on for lower budget accomadation. the room smelled like brand new paint and the hotel allows smoking and I can't handle the smell of smoke. Because the smell of paint in the room was strong we didn't smell the smoke inside the room. bit noisy but nothing earplugs won't fix!. It lost points on the cleaning service. My room was cleaned every day and towels changed however in 5 days the bed-sheets were never changed. I don’t expect to sleep in the same DNA for 5 days in a hotel room! Improve that and I wouldn’t have any complaints at all. It was good value for money, no complaints at all!. It was all good. my radiator didn't work for several hours one night, but I was given another blanket. My neighbors smoked pot on our joint balcony, and my room was filled with the smoke. It is still in the city centre but about 20-25 min walk to Dam square in the middle of town but if you go to Amsterdam you have to walk loads anyway!. breakfast closure time is too early. If checkout time is at 11 am, I would prefer breakfast to at least 10 am , preferably to 10.30 am.I had an ensuit room - shower was good but wash basin was difficult to use due to lack of space. Decent walk to city centre, tram stop directly outside but is expensive. Noisy road outside, noise varied but usually copeable. Not really. Could have had a wider variety in breakfast foods, i suppose. other guests were very loud at nights.well, if you have to carry a bear case everyday for four days up to the third story, you could probably complain about the nasty stairs ;-) Everything was fine, nothing to complain about. happy with everything. Maybe more variation to breakfast. Better locks on the Toilets and Showers doors. The locks were worn out and were on there last legs so would like to see better locks to lock the door while I have a shower as the shower and toilet was a shared.no ac in room. A little bit old. Plenty of stairs.kinda noice at night (trafic), the stairs is'nt ment for old people (i would like to call them killer stairs). too many stairs and no lift. Some aggressive guests at breakfast who seemed to take away from charm with bad manners and grouchiness. But hotel worked hard to keep the breakfast coming and pleasant , had roomy dining area. Could maybe get another toaster to make the self serve easier. Can skip breakfast if too much but this place is reliable. Great coffee shop around the corner. Also, have to pay in full once you arrive. Ups..a lot of stairs...but we understand, there is not much to doabout this...The traffic noise and other guests were quite loud. Would be better if there was a small frigde in the room.
