We stayed for one night. The location is great for an overnight stop between Merzouga and Fes. The Riad is not difficult to find - the are many signs along Midelt's main road showing the direction to the riad. We walked into the centre of town, which is about a 15 minute walk. The staff are extremely welcoming. When we arrived we were served mint tea and fresh baked cookies. The riad smells delicious. The staff seems to constantly be cooking and baking. We ate dinner at the riad. T.
all reviews » The Riad provided a comfortable, convenient, most appealing place to stop for a night on the long drive from Fes to Ait ben Haddou. It's on the outskirts of the city, and delightfully quiet. We could sleep with the windows open, to feel a cool breeze off the nearby hills. The young woman who manages the Riad was courteous, welcoming, and most efficient. The food provided both at dinner and breakfast was abundant, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The rooms were spacious and the bathroo. All 3 of the staff we met were fantastic. From the young man who helped us in and out to the 2 young girls who served us - they were very hospitable. We were upgraded to a nice suite with a huge corner bath and balcony which was perfect for us - relaxing after a hectic few days travelling. The evening meal was delicious and breakfast was one of the best we have had - wonderful home made bread and pancakes etc. We felt like we were staying at a friends house - lovely experience, thank you!. Very nice owner and staff. Very helpfull, the lady even went with us to arrange a local hamam. Wonderfull and clean room with tv and airco. In the hallway, there was always a candle burning with some good smelling aroma. On our pillow where roseleaves. Very romantic! Very cosy salon downstairs with fireplace. Breakfast was very large and very good. Also dinner was nice. They also served a local (red) wine and everybody was so nice and helpfull. Loved the spacious rooms, including dinning area. Located in a street away from the centre of Midelt (though not quiet overnight – dogs, cockerels and call to prayers). Lovely comfortable room. Very good food served in the downstairs restaurant. Mona,the owner and operator, was exceptionally friendly. She speaks good English and has made a special effort to make her place warm and welcoming. The food was excellent, as were the rooms. Nice place to stop on your way to Merzouga. The riad and staff is perfect! Nothing to do in Midelt but you must go to the abandoned lead mine of Aouli!. There was a nice view from our balcony - but the location was a bit strange...... Nothing really... The dinner was very nice but very expensive for Morocco.... During our stay in Villa Midelt, we experienced noise nuisance from the other guests. The rooms are not well isolated. Price per dinner was more accorded to european standards than Morocco. Anyway, it was worthy enough. Its not a negative, but this has much more the feel of staying in someones home than in a hotel. Nothing. Sadly we only stopped one night on our way through but there is more to see in this area than you may imagine. A bit far for town, need to get a taxi if you want to go anywhere. Expensive for Morocco. Staff failed to supply early breakfast tray as promised Evening meal 'average' and expensive. Food is not the greatest. Also, they say that credit cards are accepted, but the machine "conveniently" does not work for any of the cards. Expensive, credit cards not accepted. Inadequate heating in rooms.
