We had a very warm welcome and were given a free city map with excellent suggestions for restaurants. We had a nice private room for three people with a little balcony and the wifi was great. In short, we had a great visit to Essaouira and would highly recommend staying at Vent Des Dunes. It being outside of the medina (only a ten min walk on the gorgeous beach) offered a calmer neighbourhood with tranquillity.

Really quiet and comfortable, we love it and if go to Essaouira in the future we will definitly book this Riad again. The friendly and kind staff were really helpful. Even though your not close to the medina it is a nice change if you have been traveling around morocco as you get away from the hussel and the bustle. Great terraza upstairs and great breakfast. Breakfast is included and served on the lovely rooftop terrace. the parking the common roof terrace. Quite a bit of humidity in the rooms due to it being by the coast. hard mattress on bed. Rooms basic as you would expect for the price paid!. Very small terrace. Breakfast always the same. Little bit far from the town. It was a bit far from the medina but I did know that upon booking. Takes about 30 mins to walk there but taxis cheap and worth it after a meal out!. The room was damp and with the door closed it felt very dingy and enclosed because there were no windows and so no external light. The decor, especially the bathroom was very dated. The room was very expensive for what you got, there were a lot of cheaper riads that were much better value. We relocated to another riad which was 300dh a night - this was 460!. - lack of courtesy from the staff - unhealthy conditions in the room - mouldy room with bad smell - lack of natural light - lack of bed lamp or minimal equipment.
