The staff was one of the best I experienced in Morocco--which says a lot if you know anything about Moroccan hospitality. The owner allowed my boyfriend and I to use her personal bathroom and shower at 8 pm at night after we checked out and before our flights. The breakfast was one of the best at a Riad we had and everyone was so enjoyable. That being said, the view, and loft room specifically, was out of this world. Definitely a "must stay" place here.
all reviews » A very interesting and bohemian riad in an excellent location right at the edge of the ancient medina on the city walls. It's full of arty things and there is always somewhere new and interesting to rest your eye. Very laid back atmosphere. Great roof terrace with views out to sea and the battlements. Excellent breakfast every day and Isabel the manager is lovely and helpful. No doubt LMDA it´s the place to stay in Essaouira, the location is perfect, the rooms are great and clean, breathtaking sea views, waking up and going to bed to the sound of the sea was just amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfasts and a host like no other that will make you feel at home, definitely a must go I highly recommend LMDA. Incredible view from the balcony over the ramparts to the ocean. This is only possible from a few properties in Essaouira. Good free wifi. Right in the medina excellent for walking around, very convenient for walking to the beach. The atmosphere was great. The place is a bit run down and has seen better days but the romance and adventure was great fun. Would be lovely on the roof top in slightly warmer weather. Location. Terrace with views of the sea. Eclectic choice of artworks in eccentric but beautiful Riad. Delightful owner and staff. highly recommended. We booked for 1 night and we stayed for 3 instead...Super estonishing place including the owner lady "ISA". Great location. the atmosphere is very nice, friendly host, a beautiful kind of different styled location !. I loved relaxing on the roof of the riad and eating breakfast up there. Sound of the waves crashing nearby and the great location on the battlement walls. Potential visitors need to be aware that access is via steep stairs so if you have mobility problems this could be a real issue. The plumbing is old and could do with sanitising. My partner struggled with the number of stairs. nothing. Very bright in my room (DALI) due to a skylight in the room and a small window above the door so sleeping late was kind of impossible. If I stayed again I would pick a different room.
