Green, well maintained territory. My small separate house called 'villa' was 10 mt from the sea. Good room cleaning. Travel agency on site, helping to arrange tours. Aircon and fan in room working well. Shower in the small garden is awesome! Quality of the food in the restaurant is good. Security is quite well organized. Once they even come to me to double check what Im staying with the hotel. Lifeguards on duty are great. In my presence whey saw a lady swimming too far from the coast. Lifeguar.
all reviews » Absolutely fabulous! Perfect beach location for relaxing family holiday, plenty restaurants and shops within walking distance. Friendly service without being intrusive, the staff always happy and smiling. Food outstanding at the restaurant and pool side, breakfast good with plenty choice and good coffee. The resort and rooms are clean and well maintained, security courteous and professional. Well done Frangipani for brilliant team effort to provide us with a perfect family holiday!. The staff were extremely helpful and so smiley! We went as a group of five friends and without asking they put us in adjoining rooms which was great. The rooms are clean, the view from the salt pool is beautiful over-looking the sea. The location is also good, it's a stones throw from the beach and close to bars and restaurants (but not in the middle of the busy main street in Pantai Cenang) - so you get some tranquility too. We had a fabulous stay - thank you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the location was prefect, u can walk to get in the main road for shopping or eating with different type of restaurant and other facility you might need in your trip. And if you want try the food from hotel, just try you will find it delicious with fair price. Beach and the pools in the hotel keep you busy for at least one day, in your plan leave at least one day for spending in the hotel. The resort was very conducive for young couples and honeymooners. The staff are more than happy to help with directions, taxi stuff and local tours. The housekeeping staff didn't fail to follow up with us to replenish items eg coffee, mineralwater bottles n clearing of rubbish eventhough we refused to make up our room (we didnt leave the room much). Overal it was a pleasant experience. Location was great - 5 mins walk from main shopping street with restaurants and shops. Size of resort - lots of space around bungalows and plenty of sunbeds. Nice, large bungalows with terrace and outside shower. Wifi in reception and bar area which was ok, as none in rooms. Would return and recommend. I really loved everything about this hotel. Echo friendly very clean and the view is really amazing. The breakfast is limited but acceptable and delicious. The location is good and u can find stores and restaurants near by. They had a spa there but we used the Alun-aln one that was just 2 min walk to the left just oustide the hotel. The resort is good all in all. Service is good and staff are friendly. Meal at restaurant for launch and dinner is quite overpriced. Towels at rooms are old, some were with small holes. Spa at hotel is very basic and you need to make reservation day before. Sun spa which is just next door provide much better service in my humble opinion. In general hotel is good, but I would expect more from 4 stars. The egg queue for breakfast was a bit of a wait. The main negative things I can mention about frangipani is internet connection, as they mention there is not wifi in the rooms and even restaurant where they served breakfast you are not able to connect to the net, even 3G for phone inside our room was not working well. There were no wireless access in rooms. Need a pool bar at the saltwater pool, as quite a way to main bar. Also resort could do with a little tlc - repaint etc. Cost is very high Took the reception 45 minutes to checkin. Night reception staff are rude and unprofessional The two beach villas that we stayed at are falling apart due to lack of maintenance. Obviously they are trying to save cost by reducing staff and cutting on maintenance. The doors pf both villas were broken and they tried to fix them 4 times but no luck. The breakfast at the hotel wasn't fantastic, and the one restaurant at the resort served the same limited menu for lunch and dinner. The beds in the room were not comfortable and the blankets (sandwiched together between two sheets) had a strange smell. The reception need renovation , the way to the rooms need some care. nothing. as the concept was nature based resort, there were many ants and occasional milipede visiting the room. was bitten by insects while sleeping but insect repellent may help. no wide variety of food and cuisine. rooms a little dated. Breakfast could have been better. no free water for drinking in room service. need to buy water bottle spa facility was not available the time we stayed at the resort. presence of insects at night, but this is common to all hotels in that region, but the rooms were. clean. Bar prices expensive compared to rest of Asia similar to uk but Langkawi is expensive . Massage unbelievable expensive £50 for an hour we waited to Thailand for our massages £7 for an hour much better value. The fact that the resort doesn't have facilities to rent out bicycles or motor cycles within itself and we had to walk a bit too far to rent out the same. Without WIFI in the room, but can access in the lobby or swimming pool. toiletries are not quite good...some room have but some don't... Room was a bit small and was very simple thus not reflecting a modern resort. The beach was not clean, got jelly fish bite the very first day we checked in (7 of Nov), although there was the green flag for swimming on the beach. The hotel food leaves much to be desired. breakfast very very common. Lack of European facilities, eg eggs + bacon b'fast Need car to get around the island (which we had) Not much activity at the resort. No internet inside room. Almost no evening entertainment, both inside hotel and around Langkawi - I can see why others opt for Thailand or Indonesia. The spa in the hotel was unproffesinal, and no wifi i the rom only near the resturante area. Very small thing but wish wifi in bedrooms too. breakfast not many choices. Mosquito and jelly-fish. -. May improve Lobby and Reception area, breakfast and include more continental food in the menu for dinner. a bit of a stroll to the town, i enjoyed the walk. the service could be better. Was a bit pricy compared to other places we stayed but that may reflect overall rates on the island. Restaurant was expensive. Area around pool needs a little attention, cement uneven etc. Leaving.... No Internet in the rooms! Rooms could have been made more modern!.
