I am very glad that I had chose Philea resort for our staycation. The service staff are awesome and friendly. The greenery surrounding the villa is impressive, and the rustic looking pavillion we stayed in was very nice. I have enjoyed myself very much in this staycation. Thank you for the services provide by the hotel. I couldn't recall the name of some staff, but I would like to mention one receptionist, and one Muslim lady with a tudung. She arranged the buggy service and did a very good job.
all reviews » I love the room. Classy log house style. It also comes with hair-dryer and the bathroom has shower in bathtub and a separate shower cabin. I also love the pool side. Serene surounding and suitable for young children to play. The hotel, the room, the service, the location, cleanliness. Very welcoming place. Friendly staff always ready to help. This is an excellent resort. Great location. The atmosphere and scenic surroundings are nice. Even though it is very much a forested area there wasn't much insects. The pools were nice and clean. Place is ideal for those who wants to stay away from the city. Breakfast was a fairly good spread and we were not bothered by flies like what the other previous reviews had stated and we were sitting outside during breakfast for both days. The unique of the architecture really impressed me where the room is made of log like a cabin house. I like the hotel concept and place because it was peaceful and out of busy area. Like the natural environment and the location of the resort. Love the place that been created. The log cabins and the greenery. Landscape and concept. relaxing. The location is slightly outscape from the central of Melaka. It is not suitable for handicap. People on wheelchairs would not enjoy here. There are a lot of stairs, even to the pool, and stairs to the room if you are staying at the typical deluxe room. The distance to the restaurant is also far if you have walking disability. No bathrobe in my room. Key card very sensitive.. Cleanliness can be improved especially the curtains in Philea Suite. -not hot water 3158 -a bit hot during the afternoon time, need to wait for 30mins for air con chill the room. The cafe is too far. And no sauna for 5star resort? Pls look into it. None. The staff response time was very bad. We ordered room service and the food arrived 30 mins later which was very good. But it took them a day and a half to pick the tray up despite us calling them a few times! We left the tray outside and the cats came to eat the leftovers!. The wifi signal is bad. Can't connect to the wifi inside the room. Signal strength at the balcony is weak too. Stay at room 3015. but check out time even we wan extend l more hour also cannot, cause we haven't ultilise the swimming pool yet. Food wasn't up to a 5 star standard. Breakfast wasn't good... Food wasn't up to a luxury resort expectation. Is more like food for a 4 star resort. The music at the pool. The room is dark.. I have to change room due to electricity problems n no platters of fruit send to the new room as indide the old room. the management and staff. No spa around. Food are not so good. I ordered room service on the first day right after we arrived but the tray and utensiles were not picked up even after 2 days later when we checked out. Despite the fact that housekeeping came and cleaned the room on the next day. 1-The backdrop at the reception counter does not have any English or Bahasa Malaysia language which has shown that the management does not sensitive enough on the National Language of Malaysia. 2-Pool are not well maintained as it was not clean. 3-Additional toiletries must be purchased not like most other places where there is not additional charge for that. 4-The room is too dull and the interior deco is too out dated not sync with the current style/deco. They locate our room at 2nd floor and the place quite far from lobby and swimming pool. I have small kids so its not convinient and not safe for children. We did request the near chalet but they said it's full house. However, on the night after came back from dinner, we realize that there are alot chalets are empty. The double stories wooden villas seems very poor in soundproofing. Can hear the upstairs people walking and moving things loud and clear. Difficult to get to sleep at night as long as the guest upstairs still active. I had a difficult night there. :(. Staffs need to have better training and be more attentive to customer requirement. The staff. Not well trained and service is not consistent. Air conditioning not cold enough. Hot at the top floor. a lot of fly inside the restaurant sauna rosak swimming pool on sunday evening rosak 7.30 a.m. fitness centre not yet open.
