Location of Jonker Boutique Hotel is perfect, right at the end of the Chinese night market, and in front of the karaoke stage. All is accessible within walking distance ! Room was clean and comfortable, we got a room towards the back of the building, so no nuisance from the karaoke stage in front of the hotel. Jefferey and staff in general was really helpful and friendly. They helped us to book bus tickets, recommended places to eat, even got the chance to get a shower after checking- out befor.
all reviews » The warm welcome that Richard and I received from Jasmine and their colleagues who actually remembered us from our previous visit in 2011. The service was of a very high standard, the rooms were very well equippedwith high quality fittings and plenty of space for those not travelling light. The location of the hotel at the end of Jonkers St is ideal for exploring the large China Town area yet also, after a 5-10 minute walk, brings you out to the the centre of the historic old town with the St. We stopped at Melaka en route between KL and Singapore and enjoyed Melaka and our stay at Jonker immensely. Taxi from bus station to hotel was 10 min and cost 20 RM, the hotel is located very nicely at the entrance to the busy Jonker street. The historic port area with old cityhall, remnants of fort and church etc is just 10 min walk from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious. There are several nice eateries in the neighborhood. So overall, a highly. We just spend a night at this fabulous hotel..the location definitely a strong selling point of it, follow by the room. It's so cozy and unique.. I could stay in the room all day..! All the staff are so professional,friendly and helpful.. tks to Jeffrey and the female manager arranged us an early check in and all the travel trip..and also fix my caoch issue (I was having problem to locate the coach when coming from Singapore and booked online).TQ very much...! Old building with Only 16 rooms no lift is acceptable .. If u have heavy luggage the front desk will arrange to send it to your rooms.. A bit pricey - holiday rate not stated in letsbookhotel.com. Windows blinded (but light comes through), noisy because of other guests. There are no lifts - however, the staff helps you move the luggage. Nothing. It is an old building and old rooms. No breakfast. Room charges difference between letsbookhotel.com and what hotel charges... Too much difference to be caused by rate of exchange... Still acceptable to me... It is my first booking, so mayb I will be more careful next time... Would have been nice to have comfy chair in the room. We liked it all. Quite difficult to think of anything to criticize. Should have got a breakfast with the price of the room. Even just a coffee and a bit of fruit would have been nice. Noise from upper floor..... nothing. None... There was nothing I didn't like. Nothing. Only stayed for 1 night and it was great. The stairs, we were on the 3rd floor & no lifts. Step into bath/shower and breakfast was not included. none. I was on crutches and There was not a lift. Otherwise, a perfect stay. Price quite high. Nothing. It was what I expected.
