The hotel is located right at the middle of the attractions of Georgetown. The jetty and bus station is within walking distance. It is also located within the Little India, so you have plenty of options with south indian resturants. The assistance of the hotel staffs are really praiseworthy. Considering everything it is really a great value for the money. Recommended for backpackers. Excellent staff right from the very beginning, especially Howie and Arthur did everything to make our stay more comfortable and pointed out directions and restaurant tips which we gladly accepted. The room was basic, but has everything you need. Location right there in Little India is perfect, as you can explore most of Georgetown by foot.
all reviews » The hotel is located in the middle of downtown, close to pier and bus station. There is a small kitchen. Ceilings are rather high. Staff give a detailed explanation of everything in the hotel and in the city. Taxi booking on the early morning is available. The staff were really friendly. They gave us a map and let us know whatwwe could do in the area and how to get around. It was clean and being dvds in the room was a bonus (they had a selection to choose from). Great location in the heart of Little India, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable of the city and helpful. Room was good enough to rest after a day of exploring the city. Fantastic location, brilliant hospitality, clean, nice design, great local snacks from Howie and good advice and travel tips from Rudi. Will definitely stay again. Walls and especially ceiling are very thin, so one could hear everything happened in neighbour/upper rooms. The blanket in the room was a bit small and the pillows need replacing. Not big issues though. It is a heritage house and noise can be an issue - it will depend mostly on how lucky you are with the people that are staying in the house at the same time. Nothing! I enjoyed the stay :-). Our room had no window and was small. Still it is a very good option for the travellers looking for a decent accomodation at a budget rate. Rest of the staff bit poor, they are not able to give reliable info. We got the front room wih window, and had to use earplugs. It's not the hotel's fault, little india means constant loud music even through night. Nothing really. Everything seems brilliant. No tv room, but not an issue for me.
