When I check in early, the hotel provides a suitable waiting area for our children to play and surf the internet. Breakfast is delicious and wide selection, you must try the 'nasi lemak' and 'sambal', the most delicious of the other dishes. Swimming pools are a wide and appropriate for our children. The hotel's location close to all the amenities needed. Do not forget to visit the 'pasar malam' in the evening.
all reviews » Staff were exceptionally friendly & welcoming - made us feel totally at home. We were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely room & wrap-around balcony - perfect for 2 adults & 2 kids. It was my birthday while there, and I was pleasantly surprised with a cake!. Everything Very pleasant holiday. Only problem is that you can't see city as hotel is very nice to spend whole holiday inside. The resturant near the beach got a very delicious food and pizza Haggan daz ice cream and juice are very nice near swimming pool and. We highly recommend this resort . The garden and sea view was fabulous .We liked the poolside daily activities and the food was served there. If we visit Penang again we will stay at Golden Sands ,hopefully renewed. The hotel was amazing. Every need was catered for. The hotel and grounds are so well looked after. The staff are all so friendly. We had a wonderful time there and would most certainly go back again. The view is extremely nice and worth it.Thought bit pricey but its value for money.Staff are helpful and warmth,they served their customers professionally with fast and quality services. the room was very nice and with a great hill view, the facilities were excellent ,u can stay there and not go out at all ,i enjoyed the beach activities and the clean swimming pool .. Jellyfish bite from 1st day in the beach. But hotel stuff were really helpful and called doctor and assisted me to hire a taxi to the nearest clinic. The carpet should be changed asap. A renewal would be nice for this special resort. I can not find anything negative to say. The hotel was fabulous. The room suddenly blackout at night around 1am.And having problem on aircond as well.However,once called the maintenance guy came over and fix it for me in 30min.But my beloved girl friend got shocked with that and felt scary thus unable to sleep tight that night.Plus the room no was 414..in mandarin not a really good number tho... the breakfast wasn't that great it was 90% Asian food which I'm not used to .. The kids club which is for money. nothing bad to write only the best. There is no Jacuzzi in this resort.And its far from Gerogetown. Breakfast buffet very mundane and uninspired for a 5 star hotel - too many carbohydrate dishes and insufficient fruit or healthier options. No low cost champagne in the bars. School holidays! Its jam-packed everywhere you go!. Water hose was not in the room and the water cup was not a proper solution. As a 5 stars hotel all should be in and it does not matter the sea view and non sea view. Even though, staff friendly manner and other was great as well the Duty Manager. Lots of mosquito and flies in the buffet breakfast. And the toilet door is hard to turn. none. Buffet dinner not worth with the price. Everything was perfect. Pricey & slow house keeping. Price is a little bet high but it really worths every penny of it. the furniture is old and need renovations. Nothing. None. Their dryer does not dry the clothes from the fist time. Need to be run twice. No carbets in the room. - I was given a room facing graveyard - The floor in the rooms are tiled, cold and uncomfortable. Parking area need improvement. Too far from the parking area. A bit pricey. And the room smell of smoke leftover from previous room guest. There was high tide today and the Baywatch guy wasn't watching over the beach goers until one staff from the hotel called us in after seeing the sea splashing in high tide. no arabic tv channel. The floor of the room is tiles not carpet. Very cold and must wear shoes inside the room. nothings. Most of mens staff are not friendly poor english hotel car park are to limited !!. the troma of the death of saudi women was overwhlming all over the guest and mgt did not do anything ?. -Mosquitos in room -small old bathroom.
