The location of the hotel was perfect, in the middel of down town Vientiane, with a lot of restaurants and cafes close by. The breakfast meny varied and good and cleaning also. The staff was very polite and helpful. I will certainly use the hotel next time I come to Vientiane, but book early since it was often full booked. Superb location in a very small city anyway. Room is fair size and good enough for what you pay. Not amazingly furnished but clean. Staff really tries to do their best despite their limited English skills. Good wifi connection.
all reviews » It is a beautiful colonial building with a beautiful courtyard. Though it is situated in the city centre, the rooms are facing the courtyard so it is very quiet. We were offered lots of food for breakfast. The location and garden courtyard are excellent. The breakfast was more than enough unless you are looking for a buffet!!. I loved the gardens and breakfast in the Courtyard was pleasant. Staff were very helpful. Cleanliness of room. The location is very convenince to go every where and safety. Wifi is very good, every floor have own wifi. Great location in the city center. The hotel was in a good location, very close to restaurants and there is a great bakery nearby called the Scandinavian Bakery. The room was a good size and we had a table and chairs outside to use. There was also a lovely courtyard to sit in. The breakfast, although basic was good with guests getting the choice 2 options from a list. The setting is ideal with breakfast being served outside in the courtyard. Staff were friendly and had a good command of English. friendly service with excellent location - walking distance to many tourist attractions in town including international food outlets nearby. Is very well located, in the center, rooms are clean, has a good breakfast, and a confortable courtyard. Nice food can be found around the city. people was very kind. The Only goos things are location ang price. There is very close to famous restaurants Khop Chai Deu and there is a great bakery nearby called the Scandinavian and Joma Bakery. The staff ,verry frindly,but thats all!. Good breakfast. location. garden. Nothing. Some works going on next door so plenty of noise from as early as 8.00am. Toilet didn't work from the very beginning and would leak and stuck all the time. One of four breakfast options not available every day. The cleanliness of the bathroom can be improved. I have been visiting Vientiane for over 1 years and accomodation is o longer cheap ... that is if you was a clean, quiete and well run place. Bill has to be paid in Kip or credit card .... no idea why Baht is not accepted. The room wasn't large with a fan but it was a beautiful small room. I didn't like that we couldnt extend checkout for a few hours when my partner was ill. Because of the construction going on it was not worth paying the extra days rate for a 4 morehours. No have elevator, not convenince for have big laggage if stay 4th floor. pretty bad mosquito problem. buy a pack of mozzie coils from the local convience store though and problem solved. we used ours at numerous places in south east asia. Air con wasn't very effective and room quite humid. No shower curtain. the guest room were full of mosquitoes. The gnats and the terribly noisy AC. Price quoted in us$ on letsbookhotel.com, but had to pay in Kip and was a fair bit more pricey that way. The hotel say this is letsbookhotel.coms fault as you cannot price in Kip on the site. Expensive compared to others in Laos and Thailand, especially for the basic facilities. Bus tickets from hotel were pricey (50k to Vang Vieng as opposed to 35k from the coffee shop across road) No bedside table. Although we did have wifi in the room it wasn't very good. Too expensive for what we got. Weird, unpleasant smell in the bathroom/toilet which only last a day. Room infested with mosquitoes on the first day. The cheaper rooms are too small, and nothing really special. I think is too expensive for what u get, and I wouldn't reccomend it. The people in the front desk weren't specially helpful. Most Shops & outlets including hotel accept only KIPs. Mali accept only KIps. No taxi at airport ! Advisable to arrange airport transfer at reasonable price by hotel. We used two rooms double&triple. triple room's flood after taking shower. air condition system is not good n all shower room have a bad smell. I would like to recommend for this kind of tourist who just concern location and budget. Breakfast,For the monny We pay,verry poor! Book two doble rooms,pay full price,for two single persons,have to pay ,for,4 person breakfast and could not have a extra cup of coffee,gott,pancake out of the microwafe,and half done,I do not go there again and do not recomment ,to other travellers,there are better hotels in Vientiane,for the half of the price!. The construction, including jackhammers, hammering and drills, began at 9 am and did not end until after 4 pm. Exceptionally expensive for a room I could NOT relax in!. this hotel should deodorize the bathroom, whole room is filled with the smell which is coming from the sewer. very small room,smelling bathroom,unfair price.
