Everything. The rooms were big and bright and clean. We were lucky to have one with view over the river. The view is spectacular. However, even if we didnt have such a great view, the rooms would still be great value for money. But for $20, my husband and I hardly wanted to leave the room - perfect to wake up to the mountains, and perfect to sip a beer on the balcony watching the gorgeous sunset. Would highly recommend.
all reviews » What an amazing view! Spacious room, huge balcony, many windows. An the location. It's just in the very middle of everything. Excellent location on river, close to tube rental, but quiet area. Breakfast was very tasty. Location right in the centre of Van Vieng village. Breakfast was good for what was on offer. Fantastic location, great location very quick turn around time for washing. good value for the money; includes breakfast; in the middle of everything. Breakfast was great. Helpful and obliging staff. Near the tubing arrival and good restaurants and food stands. Great view on the river if you have a balcony!. The location, it's right where you need to be but vang vieng is small so hard not to be I guess. The room we stayed is facing the river and with balcony . The view is fantastic !. Good location close to town centre with excellent river views and mountains. The people were friendly und the view to the river and mountains was great. River side view is amazing and good location. Nice river view and good location. The view - but we did not get a room with a view, despite requesting one. During our stay I would go round the back of the hotel to take photos as the view was stunning. The location is great, loads of bars and restaurants close by. Also, great view of the river from the balcony. Not much. No wifi in room, and public wifi very weak. Room wasn't cleaned during our two night stay (not that it concerned us). Wifi only partial work in room. Works well in foyer. I emailed and asked for a room with a view. I know they were busy but did not get a response or reply to email. Bathroom was dirty and poorly built like in many places in Laos. It's near the river and next to loads of trees and bushes so 2 out of three nights we experienced creatures in our room. Cockroach and and huge spider. The bed sheets seemed clean but smelt really damp and foisty. The wifi is only available in the lobby only. Do not book the bus tickets in the guesthouse it's very expensive compared to others. Staff don't smile and not so friendly. They didn't clean the rooms every day. The water in the douche was lacking. The breakfast was not so good - but I think, common at that place. No maid for cleaning room if you not ask. Very old crude toilet. Bathroom was dirty, soap left from previous guests. Room was not cleaned once in the three days we stayed. No fresh towels and you had to ask reception for toilet paper. (Note we would have left after the first night if we had not payed for our full stay on arrival). No wifi in the bedroom but in the lobby. The connection there was very poor and the area in which you sit was very badly maintained, holes in the tables, chairs not stable. We stayed two nights and our room was not cleaned. You pay for the location.
